Everyone here is very friendly! They are always smiling to help me every time I come. I am happy to find this branch.

Poor costumer service I brought a check from an account originally issued from this exact location from a close family member (same last name) I had a valid California ID and the woman receptionist refused to let me speak to a banker apparently Bank of America Newport Beach does not honor their checks

Just went in here with my boyfriend and this place has HORRIBLE customer service. Came in because my man had to transfer money to his landlord, it was very obvious he's never done anything like this before and Shema, I believe that was the name of the rep, gave zero help. Every time he asked a question, she acted like she had an attitude and he had never wrote a check before and instead of walking him through and explaining, she just acted annoyed telling him what to do. I am a Wells Fargo customer and have heard how bad the service is at Bank of America and to see it firsthand was disappointing. Thankfully neither of us are associated with the bank (had to go because it's his landlord's bank) and hopefully it'll be the last time we have to go to a Bank of America.

Manager wasn’t available to get rolls of quarters. Never had that happen before. If you’re running low on quarters, how about you go to the back to get some? Only one teller as well, who was very grouchy. Could not withdraw $300 in cash from the counter while I was was getting my quarters. Told me to use the ATM because “it’s company policy” I have been to other branches and have never heard about this before. Avoid this branch!

My rating is just based off the ATM service.I was able to get inside using my card.No one was there so I was able to have full privacy with my banking needs.I completed what I needed to do all within 10 minutes! Convenient location and plenty of parking.

This branch is closed more often than open. Totally undependable for active corporate or personal banking. Too bad, for the location has been convenient.

Hands down the worst bank I've ever been to. Sometimes there's tellers sometimes theres not, sometimes the gates closed and you can only use an ATM, sometimes they are open during the business hours they've posted. This is the third time I've gone this week to get change for my business and left without help. Four people standing around but only one poor teller working by himself with a line. It took too long so I left once again empty handed.

Only one training teller at the window. They don’t call for back up when the line packed. They seems like they don’t care. I wait for 30 minutes for the new teller person to just do a simple transaction for two customers before me.

You can see why this location has two stars. I went in to deposit money for my dad and the teller seemed irritated that I was doing it with a money order. And then she had the nerve to tell me about zelle. Also there wasn't even a line... so I don't understand why it was such a big deal to do her job. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because there was no line.

The last straw. I’ve been banking with BofA for 25 years and they have never come through for me in times if need. Today was no exception. Unfortunately.I needed a simple one-page document notarized (satisfaction of mortgage). They were incapable of getting the job done, unable to read and comprehend the instrument. The incompetence is beyond believe. The whole experience was a colossal waste of my time - 30 minutes felt like two hours. I walked across the street to the UPS Store and got it done in 5 minutes, including next day delivery of my document. This is the last straw. I am forced to close my BofA accounts. I will support local credit unions instead. Not too big to fail, actually too big to succeed. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this Newport Beach branch in particular or Bank of America in general. Very sad.
