It is a nice studio with ample lights. Alex was super helpful and the class was relaxing.

No courtesy to give advance notice of a cancelled class. This is the second time in less than 2 months.

Took my first Pilates class here in the Cadillac and Pilates chair and it was one of the best experiences I've had! This hidden gem is actually located in the movie theatre upstairs. They have signs and even a little guide on their IG page on how to get to the gym which was extremely helpful for first timers like myself. When I got there, I was immediately greeted by the front desk and filled out the waiver. Once I finished, one of the girls gave me a little tour of this private gym which was very clean and very welcoming. Workout machines, free weights, multiple Pilates reformer machines as well as Cadillacs and more. When I came, I had no idea it was a whole gym/club so it was pretty awesome. They also provide water and towels and have locker rooms for both men and women. The class I took was one of the best classes I've ever taken by far. My instructor was Katie. There were only 3 of us which was really nice- we all got hands on adjustments (after she asked for permission) and our instructor was very patient and very detailed. She demonstrated each move and gave us all equal attention. The workout hurt so good! It was a lot of stretching along with a lot of isolations-the perfect Pilates workout. I also enjoyed using the chair. My core never felt better and I felt like a whole new person leaving this studio!

It is not where the address says it is. I spent 20 mins walking around trying to find it because it wasn't at 210. I missed my first class because on ClassPass it had the wrong information. I was really excited but now I'm upset.

If you want to learn proper Pilates, this is the place to go. The teachers are the best and they know how to do Pilates. They are so good that they have people in their classes who are training to become teachers. They focus on alignment and proper technique to prevent injury.

What a beautiful location! It is literally inside the theater on the 3rd floor. My instructor Kaylee was so sweet! Our class wasn't too packed there was only me and another person so it felt like a personal Pilates session! I just started doing Pilates and she worked with my level to make sure I was still being challenged while learning the new moves. I felt so good after taking this class and can't wait to come back!

Body design is hands down the most beautiful Pilates studio I've ever been to. It's above a movie theater which is funny because as soon as you walk into the studio it's just so bright and airy with stunning views. I really value beautiful well kept places and working out here really makes me feel inspired. The classes are also great and I love that they are 60mins. There is a bit of learning curve to find the right instructors. I prefer a more advanced challenging class so I did have to try a few different instructors before I was able to find a couple who really push you. Overall though all the classes are lovely even the slower ones you still leave feeling longer and leaner. There was only one time ever I took a class from someone who I genuinely did not like and experienced a really terrible energy from. I now know who it is and haven't gone to one of hers since and love the vibes of all the other instructors.

One of my absolute favorite studios in OC! I love that the class sizes are small and that the instructors give so much feedback throughout class. The studio is gorgeous and I love the floor length windows and that the instructors keep the doors open during class, especially during the craziness of COVID when I want to remain as risk-free as possible. There is plenty of parking as well which is a huge bonus. My favorite instructors are Jill, Katie and Alex. I've also tried Kiki and Katherine's classes too and loved them as well. Only downside is the prices of the classes are more expensive than other studios and as a student, the costs can be tough to bear.

Their primary trainer, Richard, is sleeping with, not one but, multiple clients - some of whom are married (as is he). I would not support this business until they acknowledge this violation of ethics and remove Richard from their staff.

So unfortunate because its a beautiful studio with talented instructors— I saw a blue lives matter/thin blue line propaganda sticker up. With three folks being killed in the past two weeks, I was surprised to see it appear now. As you all know, one is not born blue; it’s a chosen profession with its own risks and rewards. Those in my family who chose to serve, do so to uphold the value of each and every American life. Black folks are being killed at a disproportionate rate by police officers as a result of systemic societal dehumanization of black and brown lives; there’s no need to stand with the same mistaken loyalty that yields death to Americans.

This is a great studio. Katie Pierce is an amazing instructor everyone should take her Pilates or Barre Fusion class!

I have been taking pilates classes for over ten years and have been pretty happy with most places. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. I felt drawn to Body Design because I just moved here from Beverly Hills and wanted a clean comfortable place with instructors that I can trust with my back injury. I took four weekend classes at Body Design so I could base my opinion on more than one experience. Though it is a beautiful salon, the teacher was a huge disappointment for me. For what they are charging, I would have expected a higher level of professionalism and customer service. The only way to describe the teacher, "Brittany", is that she seemed extremely self absorbed, rude and a poor pilates teacher. I spent more time listening to her talk to her friends about her personal life , her school, plans for her future and her dog than engaging in the class. I was bored and afraid that I would hurt myself because truth is she ignored everyone but her 2 friends. The first day, confused I finally walked back to ask if we were even having a class because the lobby asks you to wait for the teacher to invite you back. Late, Brittany never came to the front to welcome anyone or announce the class was open. I finally stopped going at all and stopped referring people because I felt very un-welcomed. Brittany never said hello to me as a new student, she did not ask anyone about possible injuries in any of the classes and NEVER even asked my name. For the most part, the class was about her when it should have been about her students. I can tell you that if Brittany is the representative for Body Design, I am blown away that in Newport Beach, I expected better. I will say that the last class I attended, after hearing Brittany refer to target shoppers as "a much different demographic" ( in a very negative prejudice stuck up tone,) it felt like I was watching an episode of mean girls and I had enough and won't return. Brittany's personality was so inappropriate for a professional pilates studio that I won't be back and the worst part is you gave me the impression you really would not care.
