Just fell in love with the unique and delicious restaurant with a serious focus on showcasing local farmers and food artisans. I know this to be a passion of Chef Rich Mead, because I met him in January 2024 at the Wednesday Santa Monica farm market where he was shopping for his restaurant, The Farmhouse. We chatted and he suggested the next time in LA I should come for a meal at his restaurant, and we did!Imagine eating in a gorgeous garden with a fountain next to your table, every course executed with flair and great service. Also, dogs are allowed to join on the patio if you make a reservation. We tried courses across the menu. Great cocktail and wine list. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful gardens, little pricey, but worth it. They need more waiters, the wait was long and the tables were empty.

How do they get their chicken so crispy and so hot!? My wife also claims they have the best salad in the OC. Great service. Can be chilly at night so make sure you dress warm. Nick and Jeremy are awesome servers.

A consistent awesome experience.Probably the best outdoor dining venue for miles and miles. The food is farm to table, and around a core set of dishes are some seasonal rotating dishes that keep things fresh. The food quality and service are consistently great. Great for two tops, very limited seating for larger parties.

Everything was tasty! Service was great and I got a surprise birthday dessert thanks to having my birthday date on OpenTable. Overall very happy with the experience. Would go back to try all of the other dishes.

I'm sorry but food is way way overpriced. A lunch without alcohol but we did have dessert for 4 was over 275.00. Seriously overpriced. And truthfully a seafood dish with linguine I had was non impressive. The chef there has always been amazing. But all of us said desserts were better than main course. Even the table next to us agreed. I do not like giving negative reviews. We all had a different main course. We will be back but new people with us not impressed for the cost. So sorry.... But one of the most beautiful locations in OC

The place is aesthetically beautiful. The servers are so sweet but the food is not that great. I was visiting from San Diego and thought it would be delicious because of restaurant week. but honestly it's very average if that. I got the enchilada, my mom got the tuna sandwich which was supposed to be grilled but it was actually seared, and my sister got the steak, which was probably the only yummy thing

Review of restaurant week dinner. Overall: this restaurant is excellent, inviting, romantic, and fun, esp. with the garden to visit. The staff is outstanding and attentive. The restaurant week menu was as usual thoughtful and eclectic. The "amuse" was a nice addition with the excellent pickled beets and carrot soup. Yes, this was a tease as we could have eaten much more than we received. The arugula salad was very tasty with an interesting combination of root veggies and cara cara orange. We could have indulged in a lot more of it. The barramundi (Panko, Dijon and Thyme Rubbed Local Barramundi - koda farms brown rice "risotto", roast butternut squash, carrots, cipollini onions, sugar snap peas, spinach, tangerine jus, salsa verde) was excellent cooked and the various veggies prepared with it were delicious. The Grilled Three Mustard Rubbed Prime Culotte Steak was very tough and the mustard rub was not detected because it was overpowered by the very rich port sauce. The Persimmon and Purple Sweet Potato Bread Pudding - red flame raisins, toasted walnuts, white chocolate orange sauce, marshmallow creme was "to die for" according to my spouse. For a chocolate lover, it really was good and we are going to try to find a way to make it when we have a lot of persimmons. If you are looking for healthy, this must be viewed as an indulgence as the butter and cream and sugar in various dishes is abundant. If your interest is in traditional tastes with known ingredients, this is probably not your place unless you want to branch out a bit and try some creative preparations.
