They raised rates on their eagle community program overnight even though my lender told me rates were stable for this program. They are not trustworthy for mortgage loans - I recommend avoiding this bank

Terrible bank!!I was chatting with them and they assured me I would have a 4.8% rate on a loan. Overnight they changed it to 6.15% with no communication to me. They previously told me this loan rate of 4.8% was sure to be around and remain unchanged. It's so shady to change something overnight and go against your word. Don't do business with them- very dishonest.

Good luck trying to get a hold of anyone in this branch. Need to get in touch with your account rep? Voicemail. Okay, fine he's busy so call the other rep listed on your profile? Voicemail. Hmm... Try to call the branch number because surely someone will pick up and be able to help. It rings a bunch of times and someone eventually picks up but they're located at the Century City branch and they put you on hold because they need to call your home branch in order to find someone to help you. Which you already tried. Hashtag wtf.I only have a checking account here because of the student loan refinance I did with First Republic. The student loan refinance experience was great (props to Sam Kang) but once my account was assigned to the Newport Beach office, I've been wholly unimpressed with the service since. A few months ago I contacted my rep (Brian) because I was interested in applying for the 2.25% personal line of credit. Turns out, they don't actually want anyone to use the line (??!) from what I gather from my conversation with Brian, given that he declined each and every potential purpose for how I could potentially use the line meanwhile the website promoting the line displayed images and anecdotes of paying for weddings and luxury vacations. (And btw does anyone understand how this makes sense? I can't use the line to pay down my 3% 20K car loan but they're suggesting I can use it to pay for a lavish Maldives vacation??) Again, hashtag wtf. I was disappointed by the outcome however I found that Brian was really condescending toward me throughout our conversation. Clearly I'm not his target client and he let me know it. I can see that other people have sung his praises however I have not had any positive experiences with him. I have since formally requested that service of my account be transferred to another branch and I can't wait to see how well all the Newport branch cohorts will facilitate my request.

If you like to have a bank working a little bit for you well this is not the bank . No work no time no listening avoid They do what they want without thinking that YOU are the customer . Avoid plenty other banks

If you want to find someone who wants to work a bit and I say just a little bit for you and have an answer well don t choose this bank . I m still waiting but actually no more. I will tell them work it if you want have my money.

Thank you Jasmine for helping me get a new card! She is very professional and kind. I had my wallet stolen a couple of days ago, and had a new card made on site. Plus theres always free cookies and coffee which is always nice.
