I am a very very regular JP customer I’m sure I have 90% of each season that I wear. From Malibu, Beverly Hills, NYC to Greenwich CT I have been in most of the boutiques. Never in my life have I met a more rude and obnoxious sales associate as the big tall blond jerk who works at the Newport store. Why does someone working in retail have an attitude with a customer? I’m the one shopping where you work. The worst most awful sales experience ever. Corporate should fire this crew within minutes.

I agree. - so rude. They were out of everything in my size and the employee just kept saying, well our regulars buy everything as soon as it gets in. Our regulars this and our Regulars that. He was of zero help getting me sizes and kept bringing me the wrong things. Have zero desire to go back.

Great location & helpful staff. If they don't have your size, they'll ship yours to you gratis. JP's prices have always been high; compare to Velvet or other high-end stores. Yet, I still have & wear clothing of theirs from 10 years ago. The zippered itens I recommend hanging to dry with a dryer touch up.

we have been there numerous times and purchased clothing for my wife. we went in on 10-17. there were NO customers except us. two women sat at the back table and never got up or acknowledged up. when asked where a product was one just pointed and never bothered getting up. the worst service, or lack of, we have EVER received. very disappointing for a store of this caliber

Worst! I bought cargo pants, $350, week later tried to return, but was told the return policy, they don't refund money, only store credit. ?OK, I used the pants a few times and it torn.No returns, quality ??$350 for what?

This review is for the online store. I tried to return an unworn pair of pajama pants I had gotten my husband for Christmas. They mailed them back to me and said they don't take back worn items. These pants were not worn, they didn't even fit! Now I am stuck with $300 PJ bottoms that don't fit anyone in my household. There are so many other places to shop with reputable customer service, don't waste your time and money here. (An extra hassle that makes no sense - the brick and mortar store will not take back or exchange online purchases)

One of my favorite boutiques in the area. The girls are amazing and so helpful. Glad to say the brand has held its reputation for quality and excellence quite well. Will keep coming back to this location for many years to come.

Horrible. I buy lots of James Perse clothes. Not any more! They won't stand by there clothes. I washed a sweatshirt twice and it got a hole in the fabric. Not my fault. Over the thirty day return limit by 10 days. They said I snagged the the shirt. I did not! Never again will I buy their clothing. Too bad!

This is the very first time that I have ever submitted a review on a business, however, after my latest experience at the James Perse store in Newport Beach, I felt compelled to take the time to share my experience and thoughts. My wife had purchased a birthday gift for me from James Perse, however, the color and style were not what I would get good usage from. The very next day I tried to return the cashmere sweater, (way overpriced at $400), but was told that I could only, either do an exchange for another color or receive a store credit. I did not feel like I needed another sweater and there was nothing else in the store that I wanted, so I asked for a rebate back on my credit card. I was briskly told that the store policy is for no cash credits, only a store credit. In other words, only having the item for one day and never even having it out of the box, I was now being told and literally forced to purchase something else that I did not want. My extended family and I have lived in the area for 10 years and feel strongly about supporting local businesses. We have shopped at James Perse many times and have spent a significant amount of money there, even though their prices are far beyond the quality of products that they sell. Part of the reason for supporting local businesses is a genuine desire to help the community and all the quality stores and restaurants in the area. In return, I would expect that the stores and other services in the local area provide reasonable treatment of their customers in return. I can understand and support reasonable return policies, however, a policy like that of James Perse is oppressive and shows little concern and care for the support and loyalty shown by its customers. This unreasonable approach in their return policy is also reflected in the attitude and demeanor of its in-store management. The fact that their sales manager, Laura Lund, was so dismissive and rude in the handling of this issue, I find it hard to believe that she is working in any customer service business. Her actions would be more suited for a gig in a correctional facility. I would hope that the executive management at James Perse would take a hard look at this policy and reconsider the downstream impact it has on retaining loyal customers and the effect to their bottom line. Or, do they really care?

I am here to fairly reflect the fair rating this brand deserves. The quality of the clothing is so poor. I got a hole on my tee after first wash and my poor shirt did not even last for the summer before it ripped off. Highly overpriced brand without any quality. Be aware! I think rag and bone had much better quality even with lower price tag.

It's Great to have a James Perse store in such cool location. Even if you have to travel a little further than normal the customer service at this store is amazing! Go check it out.
