Macy’s offers a wide range of great products at competitive prices, making it a popular shopping destination for many. The variety and quality of items, from clothing to home goods, are impressive, and the frequent sales and discounts provide excellent value.
However, the shopping experience is often marred by unprofessional and rude staff. Despite the store’s excellent product offerings, the negative interactions with some employees can make the shopping experience frustrating and unpleasant. Improving customer service would significantly enhance the overall experience at Macy’s.

As a FORMER Macy's employee, I can say that all the nasty, bad reviews are 100% correct. In fact, they only scratch the surface. If they knew what I knew, their hair would curl.

I am a frequent jewelry buyer at Macy’s. Usually I shop online and if I don’t like something I return at the store. This lady at jewelry department made me extremely uncomfortable by asking million questions almost like she doesn’t want this return to happen. She started the conversation by saying if you are returning after 30 days I can’t help you. Without even seeing my receipt she said it rudely. Then when she saw I am returning on time and she can’t not stop me from returning she said that I can’t believe they sold you this piece in this condition. And saying it’s been worn. What an unpleasant experience! She said it infront of a friend at least 5/6 times and me extremely uncomfortable. Why would I go to store if sales persons are there to treat you like this? Fashion island Macy’s jewelry department should really train this people. Or else this store is also closing in no time. I am definitely not going back to that store for sure. I go to mission viejo Macy’s and I love going there. They are extremely friendly amazing.

I went to Macy’s Fashion Island recently and want to shout out an employee: Tamy (Fatima) Saleh, who went above and beyond to help me and my friend. We were at the point of being totally done shopping. We had been running around already for hours looking for pants for a wedding and Tami’s friendly demeanor and willingness to take care of us was truly refreshing. She saved us time and gave us the opportunity to spend the remaining time we had together since he was in from out of area; which made all the difference. Otherwise we would have had to keep driving around to other stores and Macy’s to find these pants. Take care of this woman, Macy’s, cause she’s definitely taking care of your customers and reputation. 10/10 on her.

Nice store, most of the staff is courteous and helpful. Beauty counter is poorly staffed. Waited at Estee lauder counter twice bc I needed to stock up on my creams and never got help, even after I asked for assistance at another counter. Left without purchasing at Estee. Too bad I planned on spending about$300.

The lady at the men's department approached and asked us if we needed help. She said she could take the stuff we were carrying to the cashier to save. She walked us to the fitting rooms and checked for all the sizes we needed. She's very helpful.

Good place for shopping. Nice location in Fashion Island Mall. I always check the last call section inside the store for clearance deals.

Macy's has really gone down in service and quality. I ordered a Waterford Crystal bowl for a bridal shower. I ordered online for store pickup yesterday. I was given the item with no bag. The top of the box was ripped. I asked for a new one and they did not have one.
When I got to the car, I looked at the bowl. The label on the front of the bowl was half a label and the paper wrapping the bowl was a mess. Can you imagine if I didn't look at the box or I had them wrap it for me???
I had to go back to work, so I couldn't go back in. There was no way I was going to give that as a gift. The shower was today. I checked other Macy's stores to see if I could find another one. They only had one in Brea. I went ahead and ordered it to pick up before closing time. I live in Irvine so it was a pain to have to drive all the way to Brea. I returned the other one.
I am a former employee of Macy's and can't believe that they would sell something in this condition. Especially an item that is not cheap. I was very disappointed and honestly I don't want to shop at Macy's anymore.

OH NO ! My wife and I popped in here on Saturday to buy a pair of standard pillowcases for the guest bedroom.....nothing fancy. All we could find was their home brand for $95. TOO RICH FOR US !
