This gym deserves more than 5 stars. They deserve ALL the stars. I've been at SoCal for about a year and a half and I can confidently say that I have found my happy place, my safe place, my family. I'll start with the incredible owners and coaches that are constantly learning and evolving to improve the training of their athletes. If you want to learn Olympic weightlifting, if you want to improve your exercise habits and techniques, whether you've been lifting for a lifetime or have never touched a barbell before, SoCal is where you want to be. They have athletes that range from Olympic bound to completely recreational and everyone is treated, supported, and encouraged equally by coaches and athletes alike. This sport is hard, and SoCal knows that, and they have prepared their coaches to mentor athletes through not only the physical journey, but the mental and emotional ups and downs that come when facing anything that challenges and pushes you to grow. I could go on forever, but I'll end with a special shout out to my coach Spencer. Talk about special. Thank you for all you do. Coach Sutter, Kody, Chris... you guys are one of kind and SoCal is what it is because of you all. And to the new coaches they are mentoring, thank you guys for the energy and excitement you bring to the gym! Lastly, to my reader, if I haven't convinced you yet, get your butt to SoCal.

If you're looking to start from scratch or for a new team/coaches in weightlifting, look no further. SoCal is by far and away the coolest gym with the most knowledgable amazing coaches I've encountered and some of the best people you'll come across. Came in for a drop in and never left! The staff seriously make lifting SO much fun and leave us always wanting more!

A fun, vibrant community of new and veteran athletes. Everyone here is welcoming and always willing to help. There are various training package options and the staff is more than willing to help.

I'm new to Olympic weightlifting and found SoCal Weightlifting when I was looking for a gym to train at while visiting Orange County. In the month that I've been with SoCal, I've met so many great people.If you're looking for a weightlifting community and a place to reach your weightlifting goals, this is the place. I would highly recommend!!

SoCal Weightlifting is a powerhouse. Coming from the east coast where there isn't as many weightlifting specific gyms this is stunning. Solid gym, solid coaches, and solid programming.

Came here while I was on vacation in Newport. Friendly staff and very accommodating. It was open 24/7 so I was able to get my workouts in around all the other activities I had planned. The gym had all the equipment and everything needed for weightlifting. If I come back to Newport I will be sure to drop in again!

This gym is amazing. If you want to improve your Olympic lifts, look no further . The coaches are technically top tier, patient, and encouraging. The members are fun and welcoming.

SoCal Weightlifting was the perfect place to drop in while on vacation. From the minute we walked in we had several employees coming up to us helping us find space to warm up and workout. The hours are unbeatable at 24/7 and the price for the week is extremely affordable. They've got everything you could need for OLY lifting as well as so much more. They also have plenty of drinks and snacks available at great prices. If I am ever back in the area I will 100% be coming back here.

Can't say enough good things. I was traveling for work and decided to visit SoCal. Process of getting a day pass was super easy. Once there they took the time to show me around and introduce me to a few people. The other members we very nice and helped me when I needed it. Finally the facility is top notch. Great space, plenty of equipment. If you're looking for a gym definitely give SoCal a look.

An absolutely top tier gym and environment. Spencer is a fantastic coach. Anyone looking to get into or continue their weightlifting journey should come here if you live in OC.
