All about that place is amazing. I just wish they change the menu sometimes.

Sashimi may have been on it's last day. It was flagrantly delicious.

Great food, highly recommend the rock shrimp but unfortunately we never seem to have a good experience with “host” who greets us at door. Last night we had a really rude girl treating the restaurant like a club and was the most unwelcoming person. Thank goodness for our waiter who did make up for it but not a great way to start a dinner. Left a bad taste in mouth and unsure if I would go back. There is a lot of other places around that have both great service and food. Really unfortunate.

Is Ten Sushi Cocktail Bar a 10/10 (or a 5/5 on Yelp)? Close, but no cigar!I found the food to be pretty good and the cocktails OK, but one thing that was a little lacking was the service. From the moment you walk in the door you're in a staring contest with the host, who didn't say anything until I said "For 2.". We arrived closer to 4PM on Saturday and there were only 2 parties there. We got seated then our not-so-happy looking server came and awkwardly introduced himself and somewhat explained the menu. He made some suggestions, but we went ahead and order a Crispy Rice Sushi and cocktails (Eastern Medicine & Kyoto Muke) to start. When he came back later, we ordered a Bluefin Jalapano Handroll, Spicy Domo Roll, and a Golden Dragon. The food was good:- Crispy Rice Sushi ($16): This was the best I've had so far compared to other sushi restaurants. I have to order this wherever I go. The sriracha mayo on top is pretty good and the smushed crispy rice on the bottom is good too. It's oddly satisfying getting the rice stuck in my teeth.- Bluefin Jalapeno Handroll ($11): It was OK, honestly for hand rolls I would stick with the specialty places like ROL.- Spicy Domo Roll ($20): This tasted really good, and was super refreshing. The lightly applied tempura flakes on the outside made it.- Golden Dragon Roll ($21): This roll came out nice and warm. The baked salmon was good, as well as the roll. There are thin slices of lemon between the roll, which gives the taste a little "twist", but honestly it's better without it.- Eastern Medicine ($16): I normally enjoy my whiskey cocktails but I wasn't a fan of this one. It had a Japanese whiskey, honey, lemon, and ginger.- Kyoto Mule ($14): This was to taste like a traditional mule, but I feel like it was lacking enough ginger beer.Overall, the food was good. The ambiance is nice as the interior has a nice aesthetic touch. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are a few seats at the bar as well with two TV's for your viewing pleasure.Parking is no issue with the multi-level parking structure located nearby.Service could see some improvement as mentioned earlier in this review. It would have been nice to see a few happy faces to make the experience a little bit better. Maybe it was just one of those days, I don't know.Prices are a bit steep and I feel like you can get a better experience elsewhere. They have a happy hour but I'm not sure when it is, (I didn't ask and the hours aren't listed online) but I'd think that would be worth checking out since the food is pretty good.

I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. My friend and I decided to move to bar, after finishing our dinner. The hostess approached me to ask if we had settled our bill with the server. I've never been asked that before. Why didn't she check with the server instead of asking me?

Best scallops and sashimi. Melts in your mouth. Best waitress I've had in years. Actually knew everything on the menu and was able to make incredible suggestions based on our preferences.

We made a reservation for a standard table; it looked like no other part could be booked. We arrived and they were happy to seat us at the sushi bar. Our sushi chef made us amazing sushi items. I love the Black&Yellow roll and my husband had Bluefin tuna, yummy. My freshwater eel sushi was so fresh and the best I have ever had. Can't wait to go back.

Very very rich menu, however nearly all items are "loaded" with sugar - even the "General TEN chicken" (normally more spicy) was overly sweet. The rolls have distinct sugar taste, so was the carrot soup, and even the cucumber salad - overly sugary. The service was initially great, but as the place filled up, it went downhill... The waiter seems to have forgotten our order twice, didn't even visit our table for nearly 30 minutes, didn't refill the (small) water glasses, etc. Also - we were initially told they "only" had tables on the outside patio (it was extremely cold, and the patio heaters were not even close to being sufficient...), and we almost left but then they offered a table inside - as long as we promised to leave within 90 minutes. Nice.
