Food was alright, after $15 parking, $4/person tram, 20% large party fee (which we weren’t told about), and some $4/soda refills. Definitely a premium price for some alright food, view is pretty good though. Would rather pay $100/person at many other places.

Wow!!! Amazing food but even better views. Crystal cove is truly a beautiful spot. The flowers were in bloom and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The drinks were great and food was delicious. The tacos were amazing and the lobster roll. The waiter was also a delight.

Beautiful little hidden oasis that's like eating a fancy meal with a view of summer vacations in the 1950's, doesn't even feel like you are 15 min away from the city. Restaurant is small and busy so a reservation is seriously recommended, but there is a bar area you might be able to squeeze into to grab a drink, or wander the museum bungalows, find a bench and stare at the ocean. Food is fresh and amazing, perfect flavor combinations, our table had the crab stack, Ahi tuna salad, Lobster roll, Mahi Mahi and lemon mousse cake. The all the seafood was fresh and delicious, and the lemon mousse cake was to die for. Also I can't say enough good things about their two mocktails, they were delicious! I know it's technically just fancy expensive juice, but from someone who is allergic to alcohol, I still want a fun tasty drink. Being able to go out with friends and order something that isn't just a boring soda or tonic water with lime is rare.Don't miss out on going during the afternoon to check out the art in the little store/gift shop and have a chat with the docent in the 1920's-1950's cottage visitor center. Also when you are getting back and forth from the parking lot definitely find the paved path on the east side with the tunnel. It's a very easy 5-10 min walk that goes under the highway with plenty of shade, unlike walking across the street. Not a lot of signs marking it, but the rangers and shuttle driver can point it out, or check Google Maps where it says Crystal Cove instead of Crystal Cove Trail. It's not an Ocean view, but the tunnel is decorated with all kinds of little murals and the paved path is surrounded by the local plants giving a SoCal garden vibe. When it's the right weather, everything is blooming turning the area yellow and orange with the gorgeous flowers.... just in case don't touch any plants unless you know what they are, poison oak grows on the banks too.

As an avid food enthusiast and blogger, I had the pleasure of experiencing The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped foot into this cozy beachside bar, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. The ambiance was inviting, with the sound of waves in the background and the soft glow of string lights adding to the charm.Let's talk drinks. The mixologists at The Beachcomber are true artisans. Each sip of our cocktails was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. My personal favorite was the Bloody Mary, garnished with shrimp and pickles—a delightful twist on a classic. Now, onto the food. Every dish we sampled was a culinary delight. From the crisp calamari to the savory meatballs and flavorful egg rolls, each bite left us craving more. The attention to detail in both the presentation and the taste of the dishes was truly commendable. One thing worth mentioning is the thoughtful accommodation for chilly evenings. The presence of heaters allowed us to enjoy our time comfortably, even as the temperature dropped. While the overall experience was exceptional, I do have a minor suggestion for improvement. The ordering process could be streamlined to enhance convenience for guests. While the servers were attentive, the gap between orders was slightly longer than expected, and having to go to the counter to order food interrupted the flow of our evening.Nevertheless, The Beachcomber's outstanding food, drinks, ambiance, and customer service more than make up for this minor inconvenience. It was an unforgettable experience, and they certainly earn my full five-star rating. I can't wait to return for another memorable evening by the beach

Server was rude, older woman with orange lipstick. Tried to charge us for a meal we did not order, we sent one of our plates back because it was awful and completely inedible, tried to charge us for that too claiming she could only take off one item, ummm ya that would be the that one item as we did not order the other. She huffed and puffed about it, stormed off to talk to her manager but assured me I'll still be charged because she cannot take off two items. So frustrating as we didn't order the other item, she eventually came back and removed the items but was very unfriendly and non-apologtic, acting like this is all our fault and really abrasive. Quiet unreal and bizarre. We will not be back, food is only so so anyway.

It is a very pleasant restaurant due to its location, it also has incredible quality in its food, if you want to spend a beautiful morning, you should come to enjoy the beach, the sea breeze, the noise of the waves; all this accompanied by a delicious coffee with a delicious breakfast. Due to the fame of the place, you generally have to wait to enter to consume.
