my burning question is this, what do we do in order to lengthen the duration of recess? Why on God's green earth would a kindergartener and first grader and so on, be allowed only 15 minutes of recess twice a day? Don't we know enough about children and the way their brains develop and function to understand that they need free play in order to focus and develop fully? Great teachers, great staff, wonderful volunteers. The principal is awesome, and on level with the kids. Out of all the schools my children have attended, Dana by far is the best! Makes me happy that they can attend the same school I did. ??
