“My Suunto Altimeter watch which has lasted 20+ years was on its "last legs." I used it for many mountain climbs including Aconcagua (22,837 ft.) in the Andes, Mont Blanc (15,700 ft) in the Alps, and Kilimanjaro (19,300) in Tanzania.The circular plastic screw-off lid containing the battery could not be opened. I used several tools which actually damaged the slot where a coin or large screwdriver could be inserted to apply some torque. It was "frozen" in place and the o-ring gasket which makes the watch waterproof was damaged.A local jewelry store recommended Carats to Karat. They said that they had a real watchmaker with 35 years experience. I took my "dead" watch to James and he fixed it in about 5 minutes! He also put in a new o-ring and had the correct battery. The place exceeds all expectations!”

“I was looking for a jewelry shop that can change watch batteries. Lots of local jewelers turned me away within 5 seconds of being there without even looking at the watch, even after calling their businesses beforehand and asking if they had the tools for it. 4/5 places even agreed to having this particular tool. Finally, as I was headed home after my 5th attempt, I ultimately decided to stop at Anthony’s Jewelers to give it one last shot. I was greeted by amazing staff and was helped instantly by a lovely gentleman. I didn’t catch his name unfortunately, but he was so kind to listen to my dilemma and actually looked at the watch I brought in, attempted and successfully helped me. He educated me on the kind of watch I had, how to care and handle it, why other shops may have turned me down, AND he fixed the watch in seconds. He has won my future business & I look forward to bringing in jewelry & purchasing jewelry from this shop in the near future.”

“I took my wedding bands here to be fixed. They were attached by two bars to fit around my engagement ring and had broken apart. I walked in and everyone was so kind and welcoming! The jeweler explained to me the reason it broke was bc the bars were too thin. He gave me the option for him to fix it as is, or to make them thicker. He was very knowledgeable, upfront and honest about everything. I felt comfortable leaving my wedding bands with them. What I didn't expect was to get them back better than when I left them! It had been sized down at a different jeweler and I could always see where the sizing had been done. Well, JB's had fixed it! My rings are so incredibly beautiful all the way around! He did SUCH an AMAZING JOB and is SO VERY TALENTED! Even my husband (who is super picky) was so impressed by his work!! I'm so happy and thankful and I will never take my jewelry anywhere else!! “This fantastic shop is located at the entrance to Arroyo Grande Village. There is easy access parking on Wesley St., or the parking lot just up the hill. The store itself has an amazing "flow" and the vendors always have fun and unique items! If you find yourself on the Central Coast, or if you're local, visit Rhonda's. “Saw this place on my Albertsons visit. Decided to see if they could fix my watchband that broke after a motorbike accident in December. Found out that the pin connecting the bracelet to the lug of the watch was broken. She replaced it and everything worked perfectly. Great friendly service.”

They have a huge selection of cards at sensible prices and so many choices for gifts. Lately I have purchased towels, baking mixes, hair items, Burt's Bees products, etc. They always seem to have something I can use as a special gift. The manager has a phenomenal memory, too. Even Laura's son was very professional and friendly and accommodating in customer service. Bobbi, I enjoyed her directness and blunt forwardness. As in turn, I am the same! I needed a loan and I brought in several of my small arms and rifles and a few miscellaneous things on top of that. Bobbi took the time and explained to me the entire process of the loan in detail and in return in how to reacquire my firearms once the loan is paid back. For what I was asking for a loan, Bobbi and Laura came close to what I had requested. I don't know what store they walked into, but I had no experiences like that whatsoever?
