I was truly disappointed. First red flag! While I was leaving my fur baby with the owner/groomer. She kept yelling at a dog she just groomed in a kennel. Saying “shut up I wish you would die”. I hesitantly left my 1.5 year old 4lb maltipoo. Upon arrival she looked okay. I paid and came home to find my dogs hair was very choppy and uneven. Her ears were not cut to the same length. Nails weren’t clipped. She charged me $70.00. I have NEVER paid that much for a grooming. Needless to say I tried my best to clip her hair to make it as even as possible. When I called the owner to discuss issues she said she is a puppy and not use to being groomed. Before going to this establishment my girl always came home looking beautiful. Sadly I won’t be taking my fur baby back

I just called to find out information since I live here in Nipomo. Upon answering the phone, I begin to ask and she curtly said "Hold on please" she came back and I asked if she had any appointments today. She said again curtly "I'm not taking any new customers" If you don't like your job dont' do it. Sheesh!

I recently discovered Pooches Gracias and called to see if we could get our Goldendoodle in for a sanitary trim and a face trim. I left a message early in the morning and received a quick call back, which I thought was great.Shortly after answering my phone, I was curtly told that she does not do Goldendoodles. I then explained that ours actually has a straight coat and isn’t curly. I was then given another curt response that she doesn’t do big dogs, at which I explained our pup is under 50lbs. Again, another curt reply that she only grooms dogs up to 30lbs.This conversation could’ve been handled in a much more professional manner and I am disappointed that she felt this was an acceptable way to speak to a potential new customer. I will not be recommending.

I asked her to trim my dog's hair. She shaved my dog completely. It was bad. My poor dog was shaking from the rough treatment she was given. She charged $75. for the worst haircut I've ever had done on my dog.

We brought our dog Lucy in to be groomed. Our first time here and Cheryl did an awesome job. I will definitely be taking our dog back here. Very happy with the service we received.

A pretty rough experience. Cheryl was able to squeeze me in, our normal groomer was booked due to Covid and I hadn't made his future appointment like I normally do. I arrived 6 minutes late, which was my fault. I had never been to the location and Google maps led me astray. I arrived and we discussed what dash needed. I said he needed his feet really well trimmed because of foxtails and burrs that get stuck in there and Cheryl said she understood. I handed dash off and sat in my car for an hour, I drove from Santa Maria so driving back and forth wasn't desired but when she said dash would be done in an hour I thought "this woman does miracles. His normal groomer takes at least 3!".This place was the only one who could see him on such short notice. I was told dash was ready and when I saw him initially he looked good. I always check his feet after going to a new groomer because often times they don't understand what I mean when I say "please remove nearly all of the hair from his feet. Foxtails and burrs get stuck in there" and there is usually hair leftover that I have to ask the groomer to get off. When I pointed this out Cheryl said that she used a #32, I believe it was, blade. This number means nothing to me so I said "right, but there's all this hair still there?" While pointing to the hair inside his paws. And she gave a quick glance and curtly said "well that's the best I can do" while shrugging her shoulders and turning her back to me to go get started on the next dog. I was annoyed by this but left without probing further. When I got home I did a more thorough look through and saw that this was a very poor grooming job. I am very unhappy at how uneven he is, how much hair is left in places and the fact that his feet still aren't done.He was very scruffy when he came in. And I appreciate that he is now significantly less scruffy. I didn't appreciate paying $60 for this result, and the attitude. I will not be returning.Edit: the next day I was out walking dash and I noticed how absolutely horrible this groom job was. I uploaded photos to reflect that he looks like edward scissor hands mauled my dog. He has cuts under his eye and his skin is extremely irritated.
