“I was going to get new headphones I got the protection plan for a year and then i asked if they had any in stock they said no so they showed me other choices they asked if your not interested in any we can deliver she said free shipping and they were really nice and organized good service definitely coming here next time”
“I love coming here for collectibles! Even pulled a full body art card from this place, definitely a 10/10 recommendation for others who are interested in collecting.”
“Andre did a great job welcoming us into the store and showing us around and answering our questions. I enjoyed browsing the wide variety they had in their collection of figures, comics, cards and action figures.”
“They are an amazing staff and store, they have a great selections of card games, miniature games, RPGs and everything else you’ll need to play them. If you have any questions there’s always regulars and staff that can teach you play and most are always friendly and happy to help.”

Hobby Shops
“We have been going to this lovely shop on Magnolia Ave. in Riverside for many years. We buy birdseed mainly, but the shop features a wide variety of items, including various types of feeders, bird baths, jewelry, yard art, a great selection of field guides, nature books, optics, nature cams, and books/activities for children. They also carry the Audubon plushy birds that sing and I’m not gonna lie, I absolutely love these things and so do my grandkids. Pro tip - young boys seem to be drawn to the red-winged blackbirds.
We just bought a Brome feeder to prevent a squirrel from chowing down on all our seed and worms. These are the best feeders I know of. They have several ports with perches but when a squirrel jumps on it the inner tube releases downwards closing the ports so the squirrel is stymied. We’re too old to get up on ladders so a taller pole wasn’t really an option.
The staff are fantastic. Theresa is very knowledgeable on bird ID and all things birding as well as local events of interest to birders. Her enthusiasm for birding is inspiring. Kelly also helped us with kindness and patience. Highly recommend this wonderful local store!”
“Beck is extremely helpful and kind ! Showed me the website and coupons that I had available, as well as just terrific customer service and made my experience so wonderful. Thank you so much! :)”
“First time here at Critical Hit Games and it certainly won’t be the last, I will definitely be coming back again!
This place has a great selection of board games, role playing games, and card games for those looking for something new, classic, and anything in between. Oh, and they also hold many fun scheduled events and activities throughout the month that I will definitely be checking out.
The owner, the staff, and the community of gamers that have started to gather here are very welcoming and the place itself is very inviting.
I’m excited to see what the store will become as it evolves and continues to get better and better, so I encourage everyone to swing by and check it out for yourself.”
“Scott was amazing!
He had the answers before I started to ask the questions.
He didn't push me into anything that I didn't want or need.
I will be back often.”
“The employees were extremely helpful. I was able to sign up with a rewards program and received an extra coupon by surprise! Very pleased with the gift I bought that day!”
“Decent prices and reasonable staff.
Not quite as welcoming as some other game stores in the area, but they’ve always been reasonable and polite to me so I have nothing to complain about.
I haven’t played much there, but it’s clear their play space is great for miniatures, but seems only fine for anything else - not bad, but nothing special on that front.
For better or worse, they usually follow TCG player prices closely. This means if you didn’t pre-order and it’s a popular set, they’ll up the price to market value - however high that is - sometimes well above any nearby stores. But on the flip side, if they have product that’s less popular they’ll generally discount it below other local stores to match TCG player prices. If you know what you’re willing to pay for something this works out fine, and I can’t blame them for trying to make money in the fine margins a game store operates, but it’s worth knowing what you’re getting going in.
They do offer more than some of the closest other stores for trade it, but have a bit less selection to spend that trade in credit on. Again, a trade off, but one I’ve been very happy with on many occasions.
I can’t say this is my favorite game store, or the best experience ever, but I also can’t get behind the 1 star reviews they have. If they have what you want (and they have a reasonable mix of collectible games and more casual/ strategy card and board games) you’ll be able to find it for a fair price - and I think that deserves 4 stars. If you like miniatures, their extensive terrain in their gaming area probably push them up to 5 stars and best in the area, but if you’re into cards there are other local stores that run better events or have larger variety of available singles and that might push them down to 3 or 3.5 stars.
Overall, I think they’re a just fine store, and while I do most of my playing and shopping at other game stores in the area I still sometimes come here to buy or trade in and I’ve always been content with what they have to offer.”
“Michael’s good place to get hobby stuff that’s close by. The employees are friendly and when in need of help just ask. Save time, if they aren’t
to busy just be patient.”
“I’ve been here. I was suprised just how much types of games were here. Definitely more than GameStop. I’ve had positive experiences, nice workers and all with getting my games. Only problem I’ve had here is that one Wednesday I came here when it said on Google maps here that it was open but when I went to open the door, they were locked which made me speculate that they were closed, though supposedly the store was open. What’s up with that?”
“Amazing staff, amazing selection of pre-owned, but the only thing that makes me sad is the location of the GameStop, it's really low-key and it would be better by target across the freeway.”
“I love the variety of items they sale. I love going for special items that I want to gift. It is a bit pricey so that's why it's 4 for and not a 5. I do like to go by their clearance section when I visit because sometimes they have very good pricing on the items they want to clear out. Also, love when they have decorations at discounted prices or clearance. They recently had 50% of Easter items so I bought a few and 90% off St. Patrick's Day decorations. If you have space or have very good organization skills it's nice to get items at these prices. I will definitely go back for the clearance items or for special gifting ideas. I'm glad this store exists as an option.”
