“Box feed is a great place to go for us Locals. The owner always supports the locals and during fire season donates hay and supplies to places sheltering displaced animals. THIS alone has me doing all my animal supplies at Box Feed. The prices are just a little higher then the large feed stores in the valley but with her support during rough times topped with their amazing customer service it's well worth it! If you care enough about the local stores help support them! Keep them from going out of business stop the take over of our large corporations. “We just got our first cow, a blue nose heifer. Being so new to this I wanted to get some tips on what to feed her, what meds she might need and anything else I could learn. I've heard that "Evans Feed is the friendliest store around" not what I experienced. Went to a feed store in Coarsegold, not much help there either. On the way back from a fun filled day at the Sugar Pine Railroad we stopped off at Steves Pet Shop. I'm so glad we did, Max over at their feed store was very, very helpful and informative. As a matter of fact, all of the employees were super nice and polite. Folks from the mountain communities of Coarsegold and Oakhurst areas don't waste time, fuel and money just go straight to these great people and get the service we all deserve.
