When I brought my stuff here I didn't have not one bug. I have never in my life had a roach. EVERYTHING IN MY UNIT IS RUINED. It is infested with roaches. I have gone into the office, AND called and was told that it is not their problem. That other tenants bring bugs and all they can do is pest control. I understand that, but we are not talking 1 or 2 roaches this is thousands of roaches. I literally can't keep anything I own. I am heart broken and so disappointed because I pay more than $120 every month for my unit and now everything I've been paying to store safely, has to be thrown away even the irreplaceable things. If you value your belongings, I would not rent here.

Fairly decent facility units have been painted but interiors need updating. Make sure you understand the hours of operation. If they're not in the office, you can't get in. If someone calls in sick you can't get in. Great for storage. Not great if you need to get in and out of your unit constantly

Derrels Mini Storage is the best place to store your overage of property. Secure and well priced for the amount of storage you receive, you get more bang for your buck.

I write this through tears! Me and my 10-year-old daughter have been crying for almost 2 hours, since discovering our storage unit was sold off! All of our family heirlooms, pictures, furniture & so much more, are just gone! Even our daughters collections, plus almost everything she had in her room that we promised her she'd get back! And just a few months ago we paid over $1,000 so that money is just gone as well! That unit contained around 13 years of our lives, because we were forced into a mandatory move, within 2 weeks, due to circumstances relating to the pandemic. Yes, we did get behind because we had been in and out of town, helping to take care of my parents, and we thought we had set up autopay, as we had done with almost everything else because it was such a chaotic time. But, we found out something went wrong & that wasn't the case, so we went & paid the entire past due amount, which was also required to regain full access. We felt good about getting caught up, but we were even more grateful to know we had access when, shortly thereafter, we were given a notice from our property manager that there was too much in our garage, & we were to immediately remedy the situation or suffer consequences! We were still struggling, financially, after paying that large amount to Darrel's, but we were still able to scrape together enough to hire movers to take everything from our garage to our storage unit. The movers spent the day loading up their truck, until evening. So early the next morning, my husband & the movers went to unload everything into our unit, only to find that we were still locked out?? We were shocked! Now, let me share what was even more shocking, & critical to this matter... the reason we were still locked out after paying in full, the representative explained, was because we PAID WITH A DEBIT CARD!?! NEVER ONCE, have I had a merchant withhold what I paid for, for any amount of time after paying with a debit card! So, I tried to explain to the representative that paying via debit card is the same as paying in cash because the funds are taken IMMEDIATELY! I even sent them a screenshot from our online banking to confirm that the money was taken immediately!! So, basically, the second that Derrel's transaction was made & my husband entered his PIN number, the money was IMMEDIATELY taken from our account, and placed into their account, so we paid, but then we're denied what we paid for! But there was no reasoning with them. Even a manager tried to justify the practice of keeping a unit locked for 30 days post payment by debit card, by saying it's to protect them from a customer disputing the charge. That is ridiculous because... One, a customer can dispute a charge, with their bank, well past 30 days post transaction. Two, if a customer just kicked down over a thousand bucks to ensure the safety of their belongings, why on earth would they try to have the payment reversed?? That would just land them in the exact same place they were in prior to making that payment, so in that scenario, why make a payment at all??? The bottom line is that Derel's Mini Storage had our money and still denied us access! How is that ethical? And, as we were trying to reason with them, the movers were threatening to come & dump all of our belongings right in front of our garage (which would've made the situation with our property management so much worse!) because they had other jobs scheduled that day! The plan was to unload everything into our storage unit, first thing that morning, but when we discovered we were still locked out, that wasn't possible. So all of our belongings remained on the movers truck as I spent hours trying to reach, & then reason with, Daniel, a manager from the corporate office. And when he refused to help us, we were forced to pay the movers for an additional day, & we also had to rent an additional storage unit, or continue to pay the movers everyday, as long as our belongings remained on their truck! We could barely a
