Do not go to this gym.I signed up to the Speakeasy gym a few months ago being reassured by Speakeasy Fitness that they would comply with the state rules and regulations that all individuals MUST wear a mask when working out.From day 1 of attending the gym individuals were not wearing masks.Gym members weren't wearing masks on their chin, under their noses... nope they weren't wearing masks AT ALL. No masks insight.I notified the very JUNIOR staff multiple times during my work out and at the end of my work out. On one particular day an employee essentially told me that she asked members to comply but they wont....Additionally at times I wasn't even temperature checked when entering the gym.This place is a nightmare.

UPDATE: Contacted them to ask for some sort of compromise considering what complete garbage the place is and LISSETTE used her last brain cell to try to argue that the contract can't be changed despite the fact that they clearly have not upheld their side of the contract. We signed up for a gym that was meant to open MONTHS ago and the gym we've been allowed to go to is trash in every sense of the word. Will be seeking legal action. I signed up for this gym in June despite having had problems with them before because they like to charge hidden fees. This time around they were up front about all costs so I got myself and my husband memberships. What they WEREN'T upfront about is the fact that the North Hills gym is completely falling apart. Every other machine is broken, the sauna is broken, the steam room is broken, the showers are broken, my husband mentioned that the men's showers are open but do not have shower-heads so basically the gym is garbage. So I over hear the cleaning lady say that a new gym is opening and I ask her about it and she tells me that she didn't understand why I wasn't told when I signed up that the North Hills gym will be closing down and that they were all moving to a Panorama location. I knew about this location because they've been working on it for years now so I figured okay I suppose I can drive a little further, I asked her if the location was already open and she said no but it should be by next week. It's the next week and I drive over with my husband and the place is still a wreck and obviously closed. We call the Sylmar center and inquire and they tell us it should be open in a week. Okay. Next week comes a long and we're told by the end of the month (June). It's now the END OF AUGUST and every time we call we're still being told "in a week", this is ridiculous to say the least. I should not have to pay for a trashy gym and one that isn't even open. Every time you call to ask for a refund or a discount for the time wasted they try to con you like the rest of these reviews say and either hang up the phone or tell you to call elsewhere. Please please please avoid this poor excuse for a gym.

Their finances are handled by a subscription software! A software anyone can buy. Wow. What a joke! So unprofessional, no wonder they just take excessive amounts of your money and don't know how. They have no reason to refund if they don't know where it's coming from. Frauds!

Do not sign up for this gym. It's literally a joke. I signed up with the promise that the panorama city location was going to open soon. It has been six months. When you ask them when the location will open they never have an answer. None of the machines work, only one stair master machine works, and they have three. The machines have not work since I have joined. They have approximately fifteen treadmills out of the fifteen only eight work. The weights are old and if you're a girl be prepared to be stared at like a piece of meat. The sauna I heard has been broken for years now. I honestly do not know how this place stays in business. This is by far the ugliest and worse gym I have ever seen. Nothing works. They charge more then planet fitness, and about the same as 24hrs. Save your money.

DO NOT sign up for this gym! WHERE TO EVEN BEGIN...FIRST OFF THE DEAL SOUNDED NICE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU GET HIT WITH ALL THESE FEES. They said you would only get charged a dollar for signing up and then that ended up not being true. I got charged with more than just a dollar and then $10 after that and then all of a sudden it was almost $70 a month. The next thing I knew getting ahold of someone to cancel was a freaking nightmare. They only have certain days/hours that they will talk to you about canceling. So I call during the hours of when someone is supposed to be able to help you with a cancellation to the ONLY location that apparently will take care of this for you. Only to find out that the person who takes care of it is not available on the days that they have for this. Then they all direct you to one manager Anahid, who ends up being the same person that signed me up ,who acts like she wants nothing to do with the situation or help basically. After a lot of back and forth she finally tells me that she will cancel it over the phone for me and then nothing will be charged there after and that I would get a call from someone about refunding my money for the last two months since I did not go to the gym because we were not given an exact date of when the gym that we were waiting for was going to open. Time and money wasted. So then of course I don't get a call from anyone to refund me my money and I call back a few weeks later because I see that they are still charging my bank account 70 bucks. So of course I call her back and she basically says that she cannot do anything to help me. A little bit more back and forth and she finally refers me to another manager at another Facility Who supposedly can take care of it for me so I call the other location and that one's not there. Constant running around, I haven't got my money back and now I'm still getting charged. So if you like having to call five different facilities to get an answer, not much help from managers, and get your money taken from you without actually using a service even though you're not supposed to be getting charged anymore, then go for it otherwise run the other direction. And the best part is that I canceled end of May to make sure that I wouldn't get charged anymore and just found out that this was just processed 3 days ago. Wtf.

Half of the running machines don't work and when you ask the front desk when they are going to fix the machines they can't give you a straight answer . It's so frustrating that they are quick to take your money every month but can't fix anything. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A USA FITNESA MEMERSHIP. I COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS I WOULD!!!!

I just put one star because I can't put zero, there's is always amazing promises before you sign, after you sign you discover the contract is full of hidden fees which nobody told you at the moment you sign( obviously) . Then the first lie: they tell you 2 persons for $24,99 each, not true, second month $29,99 , then we received an extra charge for seven dollars in the credit card because you don't provide the check account number , why?, is not enough the credit card ? Of course yes, the most humiliating thing occurred when you try to explain to the counter lady , named Heidi, Rude to everyone in the gym , very bad attitude, and for sure is not trained to work with public, seems like she's not comfortable with the job, let me tell you her last answer after my wife try to inquire about the reason for the extra charges " CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP" i don't think the owners like to hear about employees who doesn't care about customers , customer service is a really important ( if not most) in this kind of business, REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE . Of: no mentioning half of the machines doesn't work , publicity offer sauna , jacuzzi, they are not working for a long time ( false advertising)

I recently signed up for this gym and it paid it last month without using waiting for the panorama one to open I payed it and suddenly yesterday they charged from my bank account made it over charged and they said I have to do another payment on the 14th. I would like to try to get my money back!

Bad customer service And the demand payment on time Messed up my account And did threatening you to pay for Membership right away I was better off going 24 hours fitness Better customer service

Bad, bad, bad. steam room never works... Broken equipment and really dirty. Cucarachas en la sauna, Drains that don't work!!! I been here since they open!!! It's worse by the day!!!

Don't give thus crooked company any information especially your bank account info. Even more in hidden fees. Don't sign up for the free trial that needs your account info or anything.

Horrible customer service, horrible facility. They are a company that sucks you in and doesn't care about keeping their end of the deal. Don't go to this gym or support any of the others facilities.

The sign outside says there is a jacuzzi, spa & Sauna, the Jacuzzi has been shut down for years, the sauna never works so far it has been like 5 months that it does not work, is extremely dirty and I donated a head shower for their shower because in 6 months they couldn't replace it, I left a note for management at least 3 times and they never got back to me. I only bought their 1-year membership waiting for the new one to open, but it has been also 6 months and they have not open because they did not file the paperwork correctly with the City of L.A. waste of money, time and overall really poor management, sadly the only good thing I can say is the employees often are nice. But definetly not worth the money.
