Took our new cat here after adopting from pet shelter. They saw us same day as a walk in and were very kind.

We WERE VCA customers for over a decade. SOMETHING HAS CHANGED…A friend had warned us that VCA isn’t the same anymore..We experienced it ourselves when we had an appointment for our urgently sick pet (our child). From the moment we walked through the door the receptionist was rude. arrogant, and uncaring. VCA is either heavily understaffed or has recently hired weekend reception staff who fall short of the previous VCA standards. The quality of service really went downhill. We have moved our business to a caring and compassionate veterinarian office. We are contacting those we had previously recommended to VCA and letting them know to steer clear of this changed place.Goodbye VCA.

Thank goodness for Adler Animal Hospital! My rabbit had eye issues and we struggled to find available vets in Los Angeles that were not only taking new patients but were actually available to see him as soon as possible. Amongst the many that were called, we ended up with Adler Animal Hospital and were not disappointed. The hospital is supported by The Bunny Bunch which is also the same group that referred me to 2 of the best vets in Orange County so I knew the service would be great. The hospital appears to have 3 specialized vets who can care for rabbits and that’s important for me. They aim to have 2 of them per weekday and 1 (Mr. Adler himself) on the weekends. We were able to book the following day even though it was at 6:30PM and were seen by Dr. Rogelio Pena. He was very sweet and knowledgeable and asked us a few questions about Jameson’s diet, living conditions, symptoms, and concerns. From there, he recommended treatments and drafted up an estimate. We signed off on the estimate and he conducted the vital check and testing. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and the level of attention and care that we received.Exam $142.00Nail Trim $58.50We hope that future visits are only for routine check ups but we are fortunate to have great care in the neighborhood.(24/100—2023)

I am so thankful for this place! My baby sitter fell through for my new rescue dog when I was going out of a town literally the hour before I was set to leave! Even though they had never seen him before (he has gone to a different Vca before) they accepted him for two nights without any hesitation! Hands down I will use them whenever I can. Highly recommend.

On Saturday, 8/26/23, I picked up my dogs at Adler (they'd been boarded); I was told that Molly had diarrhea. It persisted. Because no doctors were available to see her at Adler, on 8/28 I took her to Access Animal Hospital, Woodland Hills, and paid $914 for an emergency exam, bloodwork and medicine. Past midnight on 8/28, Molly began dry-retching; at 3 AM we returned to Access ($92). On 8/29 I took her to our regular vet, VCA McClave in Reseda, where she was diagnosed with kennel cough, X-rayed, and given more diarrhea medication. After 5 days of cleaning up messes all day long, the diarrhea finally abated. It's an understatement to say that I am a deeply disappointed client (one who's dealt with two other VCA hospitals without problems) by what VCA Adler staff did or didn't do that sent my dog home with two conditions, one super-serious, that she didn't enter Adler with. (Additionally, on 8/26, when they gave me back the medications I'd provided for the dogs' boarding stay, Adler staff neglected to return her Phenobarbital, which is crucial to preventing her epileptic seizures.) I filed a complaint thru Adler's site weeks ago. They didn't have the courtesy to even acknowledge receipt of it. This behavior toward a client says way more about VCA than the high-minded 'About Us' copy and the mission statement by company president Todd Lavender on the company's website.

Everyone is friendly and caring. I've been seeing Dr. Anderson for my dogs care for the last year since I moved to the area, and she is so caring, kind, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and compassionate. When I go with my dogs to see her no matter what's going on I feel that my dogs are being given loving care. In addition, unlike at other vet facilities, I don't feel pressured into doing anything and I'm given plenty of time to think about what I want to do. Usually I know immediately, but if I want to think they allow you to go home and think about it before deciding and give no pressure. I'm so happy that I found VCA Adler!

Brought my cat on 7/1/23, she had trouble walking and was falling down. $600 for blood tests, but the doctor said she didn't know what was wrong even though the tests indicate she is just borderline diabetic. Recommended another $1500 in additional tests and X-rays. Doctor refused to give the cat anything to make her more comfortable. It became clear that this hospital is inhumane and only cared about making money. Paid the $600 for tests, received no treatment for the cat, and have an appointment at another vet tomorrow. Please don't go to this vet if you care for your animal.

This used to be a great vet to visit for my dogs, but recently they have gone down hill. There are never any appointments available and theu offer a walk in if your willing to wait 2 - 4 hours.

This is the second time I take my dog. They decided to do a blood test and gave her medicine. They told me to wait for their call to able to start the medicine. They didn't call me so I called and said that the person who had to call me was off but he said "I could say this" without letting me talk "if you didn't get the call is because everything is fine" So are you telling me that I paid $221 for a medicine that my dog doesn't need. Are you going to return my money? I haven't even opened the bottle because my dog doesn't need it. How can you charge people just because their worried about their pets. I don't care if the person is off or not, if you tell me that im getting the results the next day, that's exactly what I expect.I don't ask for much.

Last week my little dog had a pretty frightening medical eposide, and I found this pet hospital on Yelp. I'm so glad I went there. First, when I walked in, the place was impeccably clean, every inch, with nice holiday decorations all over. It looked very homey. The staff were really friendly, all of them. My dog, who normally hates strangers, did not growl at a single one. That tells you something! Dr. Hammer did a thorough physical exam, asked in detail about what happened, and asked about his medical history and diet. Then she went over the options. She laid out the tests he could get and prices, but said that to start with, we could try just some gentle inflammatories and rest. I decided on the rest and light meds option, and the doc turned out to be right. He started getting better with the meds a little each day and now is fine. I was impressed that the doc really cared about my dog, and also that no one tried to "upsell" me to get expensive tests that turned out to be not needed. I'll definitely bring my dog back if he needs help again. Thanks so much!

Glad to have VCA Adler animal hospital as my local pet clinic. The facilities are always clean and staff here are wonderful. Went here to get a general checkup for my frenchie and have been coming here ever since for all my pet services and concerns. Appointment making is very easy and they always send notifications/reminders on your upcoming appts. Ive had the pleasure of working with Dr. Peña and Dr. Adler on continuing to keep my frenchie healthy and thriving. Took Gordo in for some stomach concerns and Dr. Adler was very knowledgeable and attentive. Even after the visit I received a follow up call and text message ensuring that Gordo was okay. That to me is not only amazing customer service but let's you know they are generally concerned for the well being of your animal. Overall, great clinic, staff and definitely a place I would recommend for all your pets concerns. Thank you VCA Adler!

We have been coming to this Animal Hospital for about 20 years and have always had such great care from the Vets. I also wanted to give kudos to Ben who has been such a great help with our Care Club plan for 2 of my dogs (Winston & Grizzly) and answering all my questions. Thank you for being attentive and patient to my questions and for providing such fantastic Customer Service!!

very disappointed in Adler Vet Hospital my cat has been their patient for about 10 years. I expected better. I called this morning about my senior cat. I explained he was not eating much (his rx food), not drinking much water, barfing up food, and clear liquid, not peeing or pooping much and sleeping a great deal. Not meowing alot either, which is not normal for him, Told me to bring him in as a walk in, I took him in about 830am today, On the phone was never told a doctor was not available (today or tomorrow). i was in and out in maybe 10 mins. A tech saw him, i was told no blockage and I should see a specialist,,,,, no reason or what kind of specialist and that I would be given a list to choose a specialist. Seemed to me they were not to interested in my cat. No blood or urine tests were taken. My cat is not in any pain, so I made an appointment for thursday to see a vet. Very very disappointed with the care or lack of. I was told i could wait a couple of hours to see if a doctor would be available. I am searching for another vet. Surprised at this lack of care or interest. I will not go back to Adler,

My husband and I boarded our Cardigan Welsh Corgi mix, Sammie, here for part of the time while we were on our honeymoon and had an excellent experience. We knew we would be gone for a long time, almost two weeks so we asked if my parents could watch him for a few days and drop him off at the boarder for us when they could no longer watch him due to them going out of town themselves. We had a lot of concerns because when we previously have boarded Sammie at other dog boarding places, he did not seem to do well. He always came back to us smelling bad, having diarrhea, & sometimes seemingly sick or injured. He also has extreme separation anxiety due to his previous owner being abusive & neglecting him. He is a unique dog that has unique needs, as well as triggers. A few family friends recommended VCA Adler & so we decided to give it a try. My father was able to drop Sammie off for us, no problem. They took his food which we had pre-packaged & pre-labeled. When we came to pick Sammie up, we were so pleased to find that he had been groomed and was perfectly healthy. For the first time, he came back to us smelling better than when we had left & it seems like they even gave him a haircut & cut his nails! They gave us back the extra food & even sent him home with a new toy. His digestion in the days to follow were completely normal. We are so happy with this experience and will never use a different boarding place again! Although this boarder was the most expensive we have ever used, it was well worth the money to know Sammie was well taken care of.
