Took a week to open a Coogan account for my daughter. I was actually surprised because a representative on the phone said up to 20 days. Not sure why anyone would choose this credit Union on purpose. The email communication is TERRIBLE, and I've gotten one reply from numerous emails I've sent. Barely any communication as well once the account was officially opened. As soon as my daughter is able to book her first job, I'm definitely going to Wells Fargo. Much easier to deal with and they answer emails.

Good luck getting someone on the phone. Only about 6 people work for the whole company. One person answers the phone for ALL of California. If it took a day at your old bank, it's going to take 4 days here.

Do yourself a favor, do NOT join this credit union. I'll tell you some of the facts and realities of joining this credit union. This credit union is pathetic to say the least and breach banking regulations without any hesitation. It's time the government authorities investigate into the operations of this credit union. This credit union cannot be trusted. I applied specifically for an unsecured personal loan. Unsecured loans does not require any collateral, that's common sense. After they ran my credit they approved the loan and asked me for collateral for funding the loan. But I never applied for a secured loan in the first place. I don't expect a financial organization to run my credit based on misleading info in the application. I would have to now get that inquiry dropped from my credit reports because that inquiry was made fraudulently. It's time the government authorities take a look into the internal operations of this credit union. 98 percent of the time you would not get them on the phone during regular business hours. Your call will go to voicemail 98 percent of the time even if you call them at sharp 9am ET. So you would have to leave voicemail but they won't ever respond to your voicemail. Even if you email them for a call back, they wont call you back. Make no mistake, 2 percent of the time when you would get someone on the call, you are looking at 1-2 hour hold time minimum if not more. They also have a number for text support. They keep this text fearure pretty simple for the members...You would text them for support and they would never respond to you. If you ever lose your debit card/credit card you would have to report that immediately to the credit union. On paper that extension number is 24 7 available, but the reality is different and scary. Even when you lose your bank card and you dial the extension to report lost cards, there would be no one available to take your call during and or outside business hours. So if you lose your debit or credit card or notice fraudulent activity in your card you have to leave a "voicemail" so they can get back to you at a later time...DO YOU SEE THE RISK BANKING WITH THIS CREDIT UNION? I currently notice a suspicious transaction in my bank account and when I call them, all I am getting is voicemail starting from 9am ET. This credit union's shitty online platform does not allow you to add an external bank account. So if you have two other accounts in some other financial institutions and you would like to transfer money from this credit union to those accounts, all I can say is Good Luck! You can no way do that unless your other financial institution would allow you to pull your money from this credit union. Do NOT join this credit union.

This is the worst credit union and the fact the company says it is tailored for working actors is a joke. The hours are not convenient for any actor, the customer service is joke. You card gets randomly blocked for no reason. You have to jump through hoops and wait an hour to talk to someone or up to 3 days for them to call you back, if at all. You get charged $30 per late fee even when you have checks pending to cover the transactions. You do not get notifications if your account is close to negative or the transaction forces the account negative. They do not cater to the Entertainment community, if anything that prey on the Entertainment community with no regard to their needs. This establishment is no better than a community bank and doesn't deserve the title "actors credit union" there is nothing "union" about how they treat actor's.
