The main issue is that they didn't safety check my truck before I drove it off the lot. The 16ft truck had 2 large punctures in the gas filler valve (see pics). I left town and attempted to fill the tank, and gasoline was spilling and leaking all along the undercarriage. Thank God I noticed or I would have been one spark or cigarette flick away from exploding. I explained to roadside assistance (which I paid for) exactly which part I needed them to replace, and they made me wait 30 hours to have a repairman show up with the wrong part. Repairman then went to a local shop, comes back in an hour with the right part, fixes the truck, and I'm finally on my way. In addition to the truck being a deadly hazard, it was filthy inside and out (cigarette butts and fast food wrappers in the back, peanut dust in the cup holders), the ramp was broken (latch didn't work, needed a hammer to open and close it, and it only had one grip to pull it out), the AC didn't work (the vents didn't blow at all regardless of setting). So instead of renting a clean, comfortable, fully functioning, not-at-risk-of-exploding truck, I paid over $2,700 to get an absolute piece of garbage that could have killed me. And what did customer support offer me for this criminal negligence? 10% off. What a joke. I'm seeking legal recourse. DO NOT USE BUDGET, especially this location.

Excellent customer service at this Budget Car Rental on Lankershim in North Hollywood. We rent cars often and would never go anywhere else.

Scammers, Charging my card $500 for pre-existing damage which was recorded in a video aswell as the employee nothing it down.Good attempt at using me as a scapegoat, swines.

They had a storage truck ready for me to use last minute. The staff was nice and quick when checking in and out. He taught us how to use the truck as we did w/ ease. They let us bring it back in the morning w/ no extra charge since they closed early that day. They also were fair enough to give our money back since we brought the truck filled w/ gas still. Our move went easy, thanks to our rental here.

Do not use this location!! We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance only for me to show up and the man working told me he could not find my reservation. He then made a "phone call" to his coworker and told me that someone called last week and cancelled my reservation.. which is completely not true! I don't even think he told his coworker my information or confirmation number. He was obviously just trying to save face. Completely disappointed that I have to now scramble to find another place to rent from. Really wasting my time on this. I would suggest just going ahead and renting your vehicle somewhere else, since there's a good chance that in the end you will have to anyways. Completely unprofessional handling of this problem, the person working there did not even attempt to rectify the issue. He just told me I was out of luck. Good one Budget.. I'll just go ahead with uhaul next time.

We rented a truck for a move from LA to San Diego, when we got there NO truck. We had reserved weeks in advanced. We had to settle for a van, it was SO DIRTY, we hated to even put our furniture in it, but we had no choice, we had to move out. Everything would not fit in the van we had to leave behind a dining room set.

If I can give this place no stars, I would. Totally the worst customer service. The car options are horrible. They give you cars that don’t work and you can’t even call them directly for any issues.

Mike who works here is awesome!! So helpful and nice. Helped me get a great rate on a car for the week, which has been so helpful as my normal car was totaled so having a great reliable rental is a necessity. The car drives great and is very clean and in great condition. I would definitely recommend this location to others looking for a rental!

Tried calling to ask if they have toll road access, or express lane passes, but nobody answered. Called several times, no way to stay on hold or let it ring until someone answers. Guess they don't want business...

I have no idea why this rental car facility has any negative reviews!! Mike (the customer service rep/employee working at this location) is awesome!! So nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this location to a friend and would use again. My car has been clean, run smoothly and Mike got me a fantastic rate for the week when I really needed it (everyone else in the area has been sold out of rentals, and my car was totaled). He is an awesome customer service rep for Budget and I can't recommend more highly!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Reserved a cargo van weeks in advance and even got a confirmation email 2 days earlier letting me know it was confirmed for the desired time and location. We get to the location and the employee tells us "you didn't get a notification to pick it up from the other location"? Well obviously not because we are at this location - no emails, no texts, no phone calls - nothing. No apologies or nothing done to make the situation right. We were dropped off assuming that we would have a rental car to drive back home but because we didn't we had to call an Uber to go to the other location which obviously was not reimbursed by this location. Horrible management and horrible communication - I will never be borrowing from budget again.

I've been renting from this location monthly for over 16 months.Mike and his crew is who I go to if I need a car rental in Southern California and who I send others too as well. Professional Hospitable & incredibly fast.

The staff was friendly and helpful but we were given a moving truck that had not be cleaned (inside or out) of the main cab. A cloth face mask was left and the windshield was dirty which covered two cracks in the lower lower left and middle bottom of the windshield. Thank goodness we paid for the full coverage insurance so we weren't charged.
