Friendly staff and welcoming environment makes this one of my favorite YMCA's. The fitness equipment isn't the best of the best but you can still get a good workout in and enough for everyone to use.

Indoor covered pool is the best! Great classes throughout the day. Fun area with machines and weights. Across the street from a great park to enjoy a warm up or post workout picnic

This place is out of touch and they cancelled Day Care - heaven forbid you might want a safe place for your toddler to play so you can workout. They have also made it difficult to cancel memberships. The pool keeps closing for long periods. Go to the Burbank YMCA - I hear they have their S together.

This place has gone down hill since COVID and while the rest of the world is expanding and growing - this facility continues to go down hill. The pool keeps closing for long periods. They have fewer options for children, they don't have daycare anymore - they cancelled daycare so heaven forbid you're a single parent who wants to workout. They'll give you a tour when you join but they don't tell you that a lot of the benefits of membership may be taken away as the months go by. The few classes they have are way over crowded because they don't have enough classes. Old outdated equipment. Unsanitary - outbreaks of athletes foot. I asked them why they cancelled daycare and Monique the new children's directed said "because we don't want to put children in a parking lot" I mean how out of touch is this woman? Having a clean, safe place for very young children to play with other children their own age - a place where they can have meaningful interactions with others in a small private setting? How is that a "parking lot" for children? My son loved his daycare. Why are they putting people who are this out of touch in charge of the kids programs? I have no idea but I'm not going to stick around to find out.The only way to workout if you have a young child is to put your kid in a class/activity but then if my kid is in a class I have to stay and monitor to make sure the kid is behaving and participating - basically making it impossible to workout. I've sat through many of these children activity/classes and not much gets done/accomplished or learned - many of the kids don't participate. They are often messing around on the side or in a corner and the teachers let them because who is going to discipline someone else's kid? It's a really messed up situation for the parents of very young children. Also many of the instructors are just not good with children. Their BEST children's instructor is Miss Katama. She's the only one I've seen who actually captures the hearts and minds of children. The rest lack enthusiasm. Their toddler tennis class and instructor was a joke. This gal couldn't have cared less. Some of the swim instructors are good. They have also made it harder to cancel your membership. They will happily take your money to join at the front desk but if you want to cancel or put your membership on hold they will hand you a tiny piece of paper with an email address on it. You have to send an email to some anonymous email address (no phone number provided) and HOPE that someone competent replies. Then you get an email that says it's going to take them 5 days to respond - I guess because so many people are cancelling membership they can't keep up in a timely manor? Just more bad customer service. They still have not expanded their hours back to pre-covid so heaven forbid you might want to workout BEFORE or AFTER work - that won't happen - they used to be open earlier in the morning and later at night but not anymore. Closed on Sundays. Barely open on Saturday. So if you have a full-time job good luck finding a time to workout! If you work full-time AND have kids you are S outta luck my friend. While the rest of the world moves on from COVID mandates, grows and expands, the YMCA is clinging to them for some reason or maybe using them as an excuse. I don't know but I'm outta here.

Haven't been back post covid, but family swim only one day a week. They got rid of water aerobics and definitely lost value for your time and investment. We also had frequent problems with billing of being double charged.

What happened? Closed between Noon and 5pm? That might fly in Poughkeepsie, but it don't fly in LA. Miss this place, it used to be the best.

Nice place but am disappointed with the overall cleanliness. Tons of spiderwebs on walls and ceilings.
