“I heard good things about the store from other people , but after I stopped by myself I realized that good is a big understatement , the service , the variety and very fair and good prices , but what I liked even more that was the owner , the nicest man I ever met , super polite, super helpful and always very happy to see , and also very knowledgeable in his business . 10 stars . “In 1960/61, I worked at Standard Station # 3975 right accross the street from Circus Liquors. The gentleman, who was always there, I think was the owner by the name of "Vee Cyracuse". He knew a quite a bit about wines and used to recommend various wines to me. One that I can still remember was grey riesling. Connie Stevens and Linda Evenstad {to be "Evans"} frequented the gas station. I never chanced to wait on Connie Stevens but became aquainted with Linda who lived about 4 blocks away with her mother and half-brother on Oxnard St. Linda had a '55 Chevy 2-door hard top with white on top and blue on the bottom and Connie had one just like it with red on the bottom. Linda had a job as ticket girl at Growman's (sp?) Chinese Theater and I sometimes picked her up there after work and we went to her house and had TV dinners in the kitchen while her mother and half-brother sat watching TV a few feet away. That was the smallest house I've ever been in. It had two bedrooms and one bathroom. They converted part of the living room into a bedroom for her half-brother by stringing a sheet accross. I sometimes wonder whether the people who live there now have any idea that Linda Evans once lived there! Her bedroom was on the west side of the house and her mother's was on the east side with the bathroom in between. They strung another sheet accross that separated the living room from the front door where they had the TV. I still have the address book with her address and phone number in it but I won't give out the house number which might destroy the current owner's privacy! I haven't seen her since those days. It's kind of hard to keep up with somebody who makes $millions!”

“My favorite liquor store and small market. Good selection of whiskey, wine and beer. Mostly at good prices. Great place to pick up a few snacks and food items. The staff are wonderful, always welcoming and very helpful, always carrying the heavy packages to the car. They kept us going during the pandemic, it was far easier to shop.”

“Very nice peeps behind the counter! Treat you like regulars. The array in spirits, sparkling wines, etc. is quite decent. You can find higher end wines at reasonable prices (liquor store competitve). Store is always clean, well stocked- dependable stock; they've never been out of whatever sip I went in for. Well, once but, only because they just don't carry the item I happened to be looking for ... & no other liquor stores, or market near by carried it either. Highly recommended.”
“Nice family owned establishment. These guys have a little bit of everything when it comes to basic household essentials from toilet paper to pancake mix. Everything is a at a very affordable price point, not to mention, they have great hours -open at 6am and close at 11pm- also, there is almost ALWAYS a parking spot directly outside the stores front door. ??”

“Super kind guy. Only asks for you to wear mask. It’s okay tho, I guess I got 3 vaccines for nothing, but nice guy never the less, made good conversation about GoPro and made my experience great after having a horrible experience at the Mexican place next door. Don’t go there. Terrible service and even worse food. I’m not one to bash on places, but that place deserved it. Anyway, Sal’s Liquor was great! I’d recommend you stop by and get what you need, he has a huge variety of goods!”

“This review comes from the bottom of my heart. I’ve been going here consistently for a year, and refuse to go anywhere else because I’m so loyal to the staff here. Specially Lura (spelling?) and Emi. They have listened to me, comforted me, encouraged me, and loved on me and my fiance every time we come in (and our dog when she begs to come along). The selection is just right too — there’s a little bit of everything (they even have vapes, I think they were Flum which I’m a fan of). If it weren’t for their staff it would still be a good store, but their staff really makes it feel like a home. Whoever hired Lura and Emi, well done.”

“Sunrise liquor has been the spot for me since 1996 when we moved to north Hollywood. They always have what ever beverage I'm looking for. The candy sometimes might be a little old but it's a liquor store not a candy shop. Friendly staff and a lot of good scratch off tickets as well.”

“This might be one of the bougiest liquor stores I’ve ever seen.
If you have expensive taste in booze,
You will probably find what you want here.
They seem to focus on wine and spirits, hence their name , but I found some great craft beer options too.
They also appear to host tasting events, where folks can come up and sit around a bar to enjoy some liquid delights. I haven’t attended one, but I did see people hanging out there when I came by to pick up some brews.”
