I'm extremely annoyed at this store and it's staff. It seems every time I go there and talk to someone I never get honest answers. Everyone talks with confidence like they know what they're doing or they know their policy, but they don't. They're looking for a quick sale and nothing more. My issue was two things: 1. I purchased a pair of E215 from them and lost the receipt. I was trying to get a copy in which they refused to help me print a new one. They said they were not able to access any of the other Guitar Center's purchase history; which I later found out was a lie. If they had brought out a manager it was possible according to the Sherman Oaks store. 2. I purchased a 2nd pair on 2/28/24 and was trying to EXCHANGE the pair since there was a manufacture default with the right in-ear. They told me they didn't do any RETURNS after 14 days, to which I explain I just wanted to EXCHANGE for the SAME ITEM and that their return policy does state 45 for most items which I understand has an exception for some. They literally looked me in the face and said can't be done. I called Sherman Oaks and to my surprise they were more than willing to do the exchange and help me out. I asked Sherman Oaks employees regarding my receipt issue as well to which they stated they could assist me with. Long story short go to Sherman Oaks, they are much more competent employees and way more helpful. It's worth the 25/30 minute drive

Brian is a great employee! I had a problem with something that I purchased, and he really had the right attitude and knowledge to fix the issue. He went above and beyond to make things right. This guy should be a manager! Thanks Brian!

Each guitar center has a particular feel. Some good, some bad, but this is a good feel. The staff is very nice here and helped me with a purchase and a return of a guitar I bought. The guitar selection is pretty great and there is a lot of other gear to browse through.

I had been a customer of guitar center for years and had performed many purchases. I was a happy customer until I started taking lessons there. The incident happened this year when they charged me for lessons on December 9th when I had cancelled my lessons on the 7th. Once I found out in January I went to their store and talked to one of their reps who took my number, heard my complaint but told me that after a month even though I paid and I didn’t take the lessons I would not get a refund nor get the lessons, she would tell their main rep I guess to call me and see if their was a possible solution ,but I never received a call. I then proceeded to call them on another day I left my information and they said they would get back to me. I never received a call . Beware these people if they charged you for lessons and you cancelled the lessons the least they could have done is call you to schedule these other lessons but instead they decided to take my money and ignore my complaint . Needless to say ,I will not be buying anything from them in the near future. I have also proceeded to file a complain with the better business bureau to see if they will ignore that.

I rarely ever do reviews on yelp and I have been shopping at Guitar Center for a very long time and I've gotten some great gear from them. In the past one of my first guitars was purchased at the Northridge location. But I must say that this Guitar Center has really really dropped the ball lately. I just left from there to try to get a repair done and I was told that the one person that is able to do it is on vacation or is not in even though there's a sign that clearly states that, the technician works from Wednesday through Saturday. First time I found this out to try to get a repair done I didn't think to Collins so I'll give them that for the first time but when I tried calling to see if someone was there, nobody answered the phone and then when I got there I was then told that the person that supposed to be there from Wednesday through Saturday is out on vacation even though there is no indication Whatsoever upfront

I'm giving this Guitar Center 5 stars only and only because of store manager, John, if I'm not mistaken. He is really a great person. Despite lack of inventory, he helped me to find my Guitar while almost it was impossible. I checked 4 stores and they didn't care at all, but he is a true man who cares about people and obviously about business. He deserves all possibly promotions. Keep him in the business by any price.

Kept us waiting for over an hour AS THE MANAGERS WERE AT MEETING!!! And no-one had the keys to open the guitars we wanted to try!I was wondering what were the managers had meeting about?! I'm sure it wasn't customer service; I'm guessing they serve good snacks at their meeting!I asked almost everyone to find someone to help but no help!They lock their guitars and kept the keys to themselves!what a wonderful management skills!I ended up buying a $750 guitar which I would buy from any other store if there was one close by so I wouldn't have to keep coming to this place.
