Today was my first time taking my dog to this specific Petco for grooming and I chose Reggie to groom him based off of the reviews I read when I was looking for a new groomer as I just moved to the area. I was nervous just because it's always nerve racking having to find a new groomer especially after coming from a groomer that was great. I was also nervous because he is walking in my wedding in a few weeks and his haircut needed to be perfect. Reggie did such a great job with my dog. His haircut is exactly what we wanted (knowing that it'll grow out just a smidge before the big day) and even though I live 15 minutes away from this Petco, we'll definitely be back for grooming.

This review it's for "grooming" apartment. I have taken my doggy many times. I think, all of them have already bathed my dog, everyone are really careful and professional! But our favorite is Reggie !!! He takes care of my dog really god and he's so patient because "peyos" is so nervous and shy. Thanks everyone!!! Thanks Reggie!

Went in for live mealworms today and I would say that about 90% of the mealworm containers were filled with dead mealworms. It's clear that section of the store hasn't gotten any attention from the workers in a while.

Will never come back here again. Although it is not their fault that shopping carts get stolen, it is unacceptable that they are not making sure that they get more for the customers. When I asked if they had carts the cashier said that I could walk to the other side of the plaza to get one. I had to carry a 45 pound bag of dog food from the back of the store to the front and make a second trip to get the rest of my necessities. I had asked three employees for help and no one acknowledged me while they stood in a circle talking to each other. ZERO STARS.

I came this afternoon to pick up an order and to do an exchange. I spend several hundred dollars at petco per month and have been shopping here for years. In all my years, I think I've returned twice so I'm not a serial returner. Today I brought in some weruva cat food I bought 2 months ago that I wanted to exchange because when I opened the box today, I noticed someone had exchanged the contents of one of the boxes. The other 2 were fine. I didn't bother to check the inside of the box when I picked up the food from petco 2 months ago because I had no reason to. As I said, I order so much cat food per month and never had a problem. I took the receipt and the sealed merchandise to the cashier Melissa who was assisted by Daisy. Not only did they refuse to return it, they wouldn't exchange it for the correct food or give me store credit. What's worse it they way they treated me. They were rude and condescending. When I tried to reason with them and show them how much I buy per month and never return, they told me I should have checked the box before I left the store to make sure it wasn't tampered with. Seriously??? What is your job. They are the ones who get paid, not me. Do your job and check to make sure you are giving customers the correct items. Melissa and Daisy should not be dealing with customers. Both are rude and incompetent. Zero customer appreciation. I will be calling customer service and my credit company to dispute the measly $17.UPDATE: immediately after my visit to the Northridge store, I went to the Chatsworth store to pick up an order and Sam, without issue, immediately allowed me to exchange the food I was attempting to exchange/return at Northridge. Such a different experience when you actually deal with someone competent and cares about customer service. Thank you Sam!!

One star for this location for one reason: the manager Raul. The associate was nice and super helpful. Raul was not. I was told they would price match a dog bed for me. I was excited. The manager refused to price match because the color of the bed wasn't the same as the one listed on their website. Same exact bed, just a different color. They didn't have the discounted color in stock at the store and I needed the bed today. Thanks for nothing, Raul. I won't be coming back to this location as long as this dude is the manager.

This petco is very unsanitary. We found bugs in our dogs food bag a month ago. We returned that bag and bought a different one and that one also had bugs. Today, we went to go buy another bag of food and there were bugs crawling in the isles of the dog food and on the register counter. This is disgusting and this petco needs to be deeply sanitized. I will no longer be going to this petco.

Oh, I am not surprised that Petco Northridge have 3 out of 5 stars. Their customer service is not great. Prices are ridiculous, plus we have been members with them for over 10 years and never received any discounts with using our phone number. When we asked them about it they said they don't know. They don't care about their customers so we don't care about them. We went to PetSmart and hardly shopped there and received deals. Not right but it is what it is.

Groomers are nice but sales associate with the short black pixie cut hair needs more customer service training. Andrew and the other worker with braces are super awesome though.

Tried to buy crickets, which was confirmed they had in stock. The cashier said she wouldn't be selling anymore due to staffing issues. People don't just buy crickets for the hell of it. We buy them because our pets need to eat so it's incredibly frustrating that she couldn't take two minutes to grab the crickets for me m. You would've thought I asked her to go grab them from outside.

If i could give no stars i totally would. I have been going there for 3 years but will not choose Petco again form today. Grooming department needs new staff and the management was no help.

5 out of 5 times they messed up with my online order. They simply don't know the difference between 3 oz and 5.5 oz can size. I stopped going to this location anymore. Petco, please stop hiring staff who doesn't care about customers.

The groomer was very nice. She completely understood of my high energy golden retriever. She returned my dog very clean and happy

Really didn’t appreciate the poor customer and nasty attitude !! Definitely will be going to PetSmart from now on!
