CVS is a well stocked food, pharmacy and sundries store. Quality products and a wide selection. Service is not as good as it used to be but when you can locate a floor employee they can usually find your items.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, a month waiting for the medicine, they sent me to the other pharmacies to look for it to send it to them and then give it to me, I think I'm going to tell my doctor that I changed pharmacies.

Novato had a great pharmacy, Pharmaca which was forced to close when Walgreens bought them, We moved our prescriptions to CVS IN Novato which was a big mistake. Corporate store with little concern for customers or service. The lines are always long. Having a prescription filled take a very long time and many times they don't have what's needed to fill the prescription and orders take up to a week to fill. Pharmacy does not open until 10:00 am. They close for lunch so if you work only option is to go the store in the evening. They just don't care!

CVS, somehow especially in Novato, are THE WORST. Completely unreliable, will cancel appointments with no availability for timely rescheduling. They can’t seem to fill prescriptions… why are they even in business?

If I can give zero stars I would. There are better cvs stores out there besides this one. I can tell management didn't really care for their employees nor customers. They say they take it to consideration but it seems like they don't? Not to mention for how long it takes to get prescriptions or assistance due to the short staff. If management maybe decided to help their team, the service would be better. When I am helped, I feel like it's rushed and not patient centered to where they are only focusing on you and not everything else.

Employee named Esmeralda seems to have an issue with black people. I saw her messing with a black man at self checkout, then when I proceed to checkout my items (champagne) she would not accept my ID. I then gave her my drivers license which said the same thing as the ID, where she began questioning me asking how recent the photos were. Then when I question that she gets angry and proceeds to say she refuses to offer me service!! Lmao a joke and needs to be fired.

OK for prescriptions but avoid making an appointment for a covid19 vaccination. Have to use their website, which is entirely screwed up. It cancels appointments after having been made; Then invites one to reschedule, which is effectively impossible, without having to enter pages of information ALL OVER AGAIN!

I love this cvs location on grant Ave. The manager and the staff go above and beyond to help out community thrive. The pharmacy is fast and they give great advice, if you have any questions. Even though they are busy checking customers , they always smile and greet me. They don't stereotype me, I have gotten followed rudely by other locations,so I give them an A+. The store is clean, the manager is very efficient, and they don't make me feel bad when it comes to using coupons. I recommend this Grant Ave Location one of the best CVS.

CVS is my go to shop for my needs. I like the store, I shopped there when it was Longs and CVS has been good at keeping the same level of service and even some of the same people are still there. The employees are helpful and kind.

I scheduled a tetanus shot at CVS online for the San Rafael location and then within a few minutes, I was notified that my appointment was canceled. I rescheduled and I soon had another email telling my appointment was canceled. I called the San Rafael store and after a substantial wait, I got the vaccination line which should be called the "Covid vaccination line." The woman who answered the phone asked how I came to the Covid phone line-she could not answer my tetanus shot appointment questions. So I tried a different tack and rescheduled for the Novato store. I arrived on time to find out that there was no record (on their system) of my Novato appointment, but that one of the two quickly canceled San Rafael appointments had already billed my insurance. Um, but I hadn't received any vaccine at this point. (So one star for the CVS online scheduling system, but I'm not reviewing that right now.) I was asked by Mamood (I am SO sorry if I have your name wrong) who I think is a pharmacist to come back the next day after they fixed this already-billed-your-insurance issue. He explained what had happened and how he was going to fix it. I showed up the next day super reluctant after the mixup. Plus a number of people had told me how much tetanus shots hurt. I remember this from childhood. Yikes. Why did I have to be so careless and cut my hand?Before the vaccination, Mamood was affable and VERY gentle. He joked around a bit to distract me and told me that I wouldn't feel the needle going it. Yeah, right. But HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. It was over in a flash and I left feeling very impressed and relieved. So if you need a vaccine of any type, I recommend the Novato CVS pharmacy on Grant Ave and the professional Mamood.

They must be severely short staffed. After I waited on hold for more than 17 minutes of an 18 min call, the pharmacist hung up on me while I was in mid-sentence, saying "I reversed it ma'am, thank you, goodbye."

There's always not enough employees on the floor to help with stocking and making everything look nice but every time I go there it's always mess and I can never find what I'm looking for I always have to go up to the front to ask someone to help because mo one is ever on the floor to assist customers
