“Stopped in with the hopes of finding some decent golf shoes literally 30 mins before our tee time while on a 2 day camping trip to Wheeler gorge camp ground ( I only brought 2 pairs of boots & a pair of slippers)... To my surprise I was able to find brand new Nike Air Max in my size for $4.99 retail $180 & my bf was able to dig up an old vinyl record by The Doors in good condition for only .99¢”
“Best bike shop with even better prices. Understand this is a non profit and DIY shop. I didn’t know much about bike repair and staff helped me do a full rebuild for a fraction of the cost to have a shop do it. Would recommend 100 times over and please go and learn more about your bike :)”
“Camp Arnaz, Girl Scout Camp is such a great place for girls to come together, have fun and learn life skills. They have so much for girls to do, including, archery, astonomy center, horseback riding, day camps, and lots more activities to create an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship. They also do so much for the community, and the environment, with events like the Monarch Butterfly benefit, to name just one. The life skills that girls learn at Camp Arnaz will last a lifetime. I can't say enough about how great this Girl Scout Camp is. Please see it for yourself. It's a place we're girls can just be girls, and have fun. My niece is taking horseback riding lessons, along with the care and maintenance of horses, with Summer Helmuth, the Equine instructor.Summer is such a great instructor, and influence for the girls. My niece absolutely loves Camp Arnaz. I know you will too.”
“Very peaceful path through fruit trees to the top where there is a beautiful view of Ojai and an adjacent garden,but beware of rattle snakes. I was standing next to one under a chair ten inches from my ankle.”
“Gorgeous gardens in a peaceful and secluded location in the California hills. We loved how welcoming the staff were and that the gardens are part of a larger nature reserve.”
“Beautiful place!1st Saturday of every month, except January & July, there is a huge "garage sale" of sorts, with lots of odds and ends, furniture, etc. That benefits HELP of Ojai for seniors. They always have something fun to pick up for the house.”

“this is an amazing place. the staff truly cares about its residents, the food is really good as well as the accommodations. clearly, the people that own this place have taken great lengths to ensure comfort for the residents.
the groups are really good, not too many people per group. The vibes here are really good. there is very little drama at this place.
Also, if and when problems come up, staff will work with you for whatever issues you might have, as long as you have the desire to be sober. I speak from firsthand experience on this.
If drugs and alcohol has your life out of control, this is the place where you want to go to turn that around.”
“Harmon Canyon is by far my favorite place for off road bicycling. Not too technical, not too boring, and not too far from home. Just right in every way. If you get to the top of Long Canyon, you are rewarded with a view that stretches from Fillmore to the Channel Islands. If you reach one of the other peaks..... well I don't know I haven't done it yet. Hopefully I will soon!”

“They have been very generous to me when I have needed help. Utilities, food, cat food ,hot meals,blankets... Some times some of the employees can be short with people. I have not had that problem but some people don't realize these people are doing you a favor they don't have to, majority are not getting paid. Check yourself people.”

“I made a donation there today and the staff and residents were very friendly and appreciative. One of the residents let me in through the gate and was so appreciative and accommodating that at first I wasn't sure if they were staff. I also helped another resident move another donation into their place and they and their children were very thankful for my help. I was bringing in the donation on behalf of another but now given the experience with staff and residents I would consider donating.”
“Outreach Alliance of Ventura County® (OAVC) is a wonderful community-based non-profit organization that really is making a difference in Ventura County. The people that are involved with OAVC really are making a difference in the lives of children, families, and individuals in need throughout Ventura County. I have been a member for over 7 years and I am amazed at what we have accomplished. Our philanthropic programs and our Bargain Box Thrift Store are all volunteer run. OAVC has has an amazing group of members that have a common goal of helping people in need.”

“Great job with the arrest of known scumbag Neydi Veronica Garcia! She acts all nice and caring at first, but she is actually lying in order to swindle and take advantage of people. She tried to use me in order to open a trust account in my name. Why?? She has been charged with numerous felonies involving embezzlement, identity theft and filing a false tax return.Can't wait to see her convicted! Although unfortunately the court system has let her out of jail so she can con other people.”
