Sierra Sky Ranch, Ascend Hotel Collection, is a beautiful and authentic ranch steeped in history, originally one of California's first cattle ranches dating back to 1875. Tucked away in the mountains just minutes from downtown Oakhurst, it offers a quiet, relaxing country getaway. The ambiance is breathtaking and rustic, like a handsomely decorated wooden cabin straight out of the old west, complete with an actual working fireplace in the lobby. The property and grounds are perfect, featuring beautiful lights, an outside fireplace on the front lawn for enjoying the stars, and a pool open in the summer. The cozy rooms are very clean, well-kept, and a good size, with comfortable beds and pillows, lovely bathrooms, and beautiful terraces. The hotel feels homey and includes a nice dining area for the free Continental breakfast, a library with books and games, and fresh coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate available around the clock. The staff provides great customer service; they are super friendly, kind, helpful, welcoming, and make guests feel totally at home. It is a perfect stay for visiting Yosemite National Park, located just outside the park with the southern entrance only 20 minutes away. Nearby attractions include Bass Lake, 15 minutes from the hotel. It is a wonderful, perfect gem for a family visit or a romantic getaway, offering a great time with a guided ghost hunt, popcorn from the front desk, and the chance to roast s'mores. Guests love it and cannot recommend it enough, eager to come back again.
This a great place to stay. We stayed at one of the suites last week and the place was very clean and comfortable. It was a short drive to Yosemite and the train ride. Derek was a great host and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

The rooms were great and they have a beautiful view and outside you could hear woodpeckers. The restaurants they recommend are delicious and the early night bond fire is good for meet new people. The have good activities to do inside and the morning breakfast is always a plus.

Giving it 4 stars because there was no minifridge in the room. At this price point, we expected one to be included. Otherwise, beautiful setting and beautiful rooms!
