Place in the order with the Vons in Oakhurst is a hit-and-miss. Sometimes you get the order, sometimes you don't. You Pay for a delivery time and it's rarely in between those times. It is also rarely correct. I paid for a year and I'm not even going to finish it out because because they are useless. When you call the store it's even worse. They always blame someone else like doordash when They are the one receiving the money, they are the ones actually picking the order, and they see the order sitting there for hours and hours but don't bother to check to see why it has not been delivered. Anybody who's thinking about spending $99 a year for this, You may want to think again. Just to add on, I finally got my receipt 2 hours after has already been late and and now it says instead of delivering in enchilada sauce they're sending me guacamole sauce mix. And what world are those even remotely a good substitute. Anyway that is just an example of the kind of customer service you can expect from This store.

I tried to contact Von's directly, but the website was not taking my comments. I'm not sure what is happening with our Von's store in our area, but too many things are going on therefore I must mention them in hopes it will improve our grocery store. On 8/24/22 we were shopping and a gentleman in the bakery Dept. was dusting the bagel area with a duster, but all of the debris was going into the bagel/roll bins that had bagels/rolls in them. After he dusted he proceeded to blow his nose over the bagel bin. Gross! During checkout the box person in the other check out lane next to us asked our cashier for some paper towels. Our cashier proceeded to throw the paper towel BOX over my head as I was standing there being checked out. Needless to say I ducked. Another day, I was in the deli line and waited to be served. 4 people were working in the deli section. One guy said he'd be right with me, but went in the back and came out approximately 5 minutes later. I waited. Someone was cleaning the Boar's Head case and another was in the back. I waited. A young girl came up to the counter and a gray hair guy came out and started to talk to a young girl. I waited, the first guy came out and started to cut some meat, 10 Minutes had gone by. A customer came up to the counter and the gray haired guy talking to the young girl asked him what he wanted. I politely said I was there first he then asked me what I wanted and he proceeded to help me until the other guy said he would help me when he was done. Done! I had been waiting for almost 15 minutes. The gray haired guy then continued his conversation with the young girl. I was tired of waiting so I left. Also this Von's has the most expired food of any store I have ever shopped at. Please do something to improve the service at this store.

Almost every visit we are charged wrong on items , yesterday it was $12.00 ! How many people don't go back and just throw up their hands! Customer service in this store is NON existent its horrible just terrible....We don't have many choices in Oakhurst so we're kind of stuck! I will be purchasing more in Fresno and try to go to Vons only when necessary for prescriptions.

I went to Vons for just a few things this afternoon. Its always clean and nice produce. I used the new self check out since I had four items. I then went for a purchase at the Vons Starbucks. Also always clean and tidy. Two really nice girls helped me. It was a pleasant quick shopping trip.

VON's Grocery Store: 25 Nov 2021 It's turkey day and we're hosting... but, I've never cooked a turkey before. Thank goodness, I searched and found ready-prepared turkey and fixings for the day. The deli department at Von's came to my rescue. My first call on the 15th was answered by Laura. She said the turkey is cooked. It just needed heating up. Hurrah! I placed my order. Then - on the 23rd, I called to make sure we still have the pre-prepared turkey. Yes... said Sara. On turkey day, I went to pick up my turkey. It was a heavy bird. For $59.99, a good-sized bird was handed to me - along with a box filled with sides (mashed potato, gravy & cranberry sauce). Steve, the server behind the deli counter was excellent. Steve, along with Laura and Sara were pros at their jobs. We had no idea what pre-cooked meant - but, we didn't expect a moist, tasty bird. The sides needed help because of the heavy-handed seasoning, but we're very 'thankful' we didn't have to start from scratch. Thank you Von's - for rescuing us from cooking our Thanksgiving bird. Now, we know where to 'catch' our bird the next time we host Thanksgiving. Cheers!

If as a customer you want to be treated like crap and get yelled by a checker, shop at Von's in Oakhurst. Especially the older blonde lady checker hates people and the store manager is brain dead. Corporate does not care either. Never going there again. In a small community you would think the staff would be friendly and helpful. They treat you as if you are a criminal.

We were on our way to Yosemite and we made a pit stop to pick up supplies for our stay at Curry Camp. This store is so nice and well stocked of all the things we needed and plus some. The prices are reasonable and we bought so much stuff that we could barely fit the bags in our car.

Very nice grocery store. Had everything we needed for our weekend adventures. The store was very clean and staff was polite.

Von's does not follow the states mandate of all customers are to wear masks. About a third of the customers were not. Store management is rude.

Damn this place is shady asf ngl. Came in early morning in 2 cars tryna fill up on food so we can hit Yosemite. We had a pretty big group but damn you don't gotta follow us man. I seen the same guy every aisle. Some of my mates also noticed. They make it pretty obvious too. Pretty sure they were about to call the sheriff too. I seen a worker push a cart and there was a notebook with the words written " call sheriff" written on it. I was confused for a sec and then realize that was most likely meant for us. We just payed and left. Please be cautious if you not white. Just hit grocery outlet. The prices will just leave you broke too

I put in an order online for delivery. It was not picked up by the delivery company. I understand this wasn't Von's fault, so I said I would come pick it up the following day... I called the store before I drove into town to make sure it was ready, because I didn't want to waste the gas and time if it wasn't. It took me 4 calls/waiting on hold before I finally got a person in customer service. Then they transferred me to the delivery customer service desk, who then dropped my call. I had to call/wait on hold twice to get a person to cancel the more than $400 worth of groceries. THAT is Von's fault, and now Raley's will be my new go-to grocery store in Oakhurst.

This is Safeway owned. Everything was as good as Safeway usually is. No complaints. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

I ordered $160 worth of groceries to be delivered between 5 and 9 tonight, things I needed to prepare early tomorrow morning for a function, and after waiting for three and a half hours called to find out where my order was only to be told it never got processed, even though I was charged for it. No apology. I was told I will get my money back in 7 days, for food I never got. Now I have to be at the other store in town at 6 am if I'm to have any chance of being ready for the function on time. Such convenience. Never again.
