I wrote a 5+star review for York on Yelp after he came to our house. We contacted him around 3:00 in the afternoon about the sound going out on our 54 inch Vizio. By 6:30 the same day, he had come to our house, diagnosed the problem, ordered the necessary part, given us a final bill (no service call fee because we hired him to fix our tv) and promised to return as soon as the part came in (within 4-5 business days). True to his word, today he texted, gave us a two-hour window, arrived on time, replaced the part, reprogramed out SmartTV, and was finished in a half hour.York is delightful, friendly, and was respectful of our privacy and time. We could not be more pleased and grateful to have found an honest, gracious, and knowledgeable EXPERT.Sue Mello

SCAM! They wanted to charge me $45 to even give me a repair estimate. I needed the repair estimate to work with my insurance company for repairs.The technician at Alpha asked me to Venmo them money to cover for the time they may need to speak with the insurance agents.I also reported the service center to Samsung. Do not recommend working with them.

Sadly, the location they had in Oakland closed down. But call the number and the owner will come to you if you're not too far. He is very kind and very honest. He told me he could fix a TV that we broke but not to spend my money because it wasn't worth it. The screen was more expensive to replace than what the TV was now worth. I feel like You don't see that honesty much anymore.

I had used Alpha TV before with a TV problem, so I trusted them. I asked York to replace the magnetron in my GE ATR microwave, as I had been advised. Later he called to say "couldn't find one." Whoops, later that day he had found one. I scheduled the service and it tuned out to need more parts, which I declined. But I took a look at the "new" magnetron. It was blindingly obvious that was not at all new. York said it was, and all that dirt and discoloration was the result of factory testing. I was willing to forgo the service fee, but York refused to refund my parts deposit (for magnetron). I called Alpha TV later but I could not get a call back from (the owner).

My 65 inch T.V. Has been in there for the last 3 weeks no call no response to messages left. I CALLED TODAY AGAIN!! No answer! They have my money and Television!!!!!! Very disappointed!

If you hate adding things to the city dump consider having Alpha TV repair your TV. I appreciate the technician's patience setting up the TV and making sure the remote was paired.

We waited to get our Samsung TV back from them for 3 weeks to see it banged up on the sides with the frame cracked in multiple spots. They were unresponsive and honestly quite rude when we brought this to their attention. We paid $280 for them to replace the LED strips which they assured us they are very skilled at doing and this is what we get in return. The lady dragged the tv out with nothing underneath it and didn't seem to care at all. Will not be going there again and suggest you don't trust them with your electronics either.

0 STARS..BEWARE! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! They do not care about their customers time. This company was sent through LG to fix my TV. My app was between 5:30-6pm, 6:10 rolls around and I call to check where the tech is, I’m advised that the tech is stuck in traffic and he will show up between 7–8pm, 7:50pm I get a call from the tech that he is barely on his way and it we’ll take another 40mins. I tell him how disappointed I am regarding the lack in professionalism and he replies “I don’t care, I don’t care” WOW PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME!

My Samsung plasma TV (pn60e7000) started malfunctioning a few weeks back. Video coming thru any of the HDMI ports would display properly for a few minutes and then become jittery and jumpy. Alpha did an in-home inspection, ordered a replacement mother board and repaired my TV to perfect function. While replacing the mother board, they also inspected the power board and re-soldered some worn connections. Final result: the TV is working great and all the HDMI ports are functional again. Bonus: many Samsung TV owners have experienced flaky and frustrating Smart Hub functionality where the Smart Hub software would automatically download and "update" whenever you try to run Smart Hub. It would do this over and over again even if it had just performed the update. I'm happy to find that my TV no longer does this. The Samsung Smart Hub on my TV is working reliably now. Nice bonus. Knock on wood.
