Don’t even waste your time coming here. The pumps never work. And u can never use the contactless pay on the machines. Today I went and they told me out of 14 pumps, only 5 of them were working. So I moved my car and went back inside again to pay only to be told unfortunately NONE of their pumps were working.

Just say no. Just tried to buy gas here this morning, scanned my card at the first pump and it got caught in some sort of electronic limbo, just spinning. Talked to the cashier, they couldn't cancel the transaction, it would just eventually fall off, use another pump. So I moved to another pump. Same thing, scanned my card, left spinning. Talked to cashier again, was told there's a 50-50 chance any of the pumps will or will not work. So I drove to a nearby Chevron to buy gas. Cashiers were nice, but won't be coming back here. Will check my credit card later just to be safe.

The staff were VERY HELPFUL when I got gas here on Tuesday night. I left my phone on the counter and another customer snatched it pretty quickly. I realized I didn't have my phone on me a few minutes later and the man working at the cash register was kind and trusting enough to let me borrow his phone to call my phone. He even let me take it to my trunk because I wanted to make sure I didn't drop it in there. When I was calling it with his phone at my car, an unhoused man admitted to having taken my phone from the counter. I brought the cashier's phone back to him and thanked the unhoused man with $10 worth of gas. Meanwhile, the 2nd gas station attendant came outside to make sure the man would give my phone back to me. He did. These two staff went above and beyond that day. I imagine they have to deal with a lot of stressful situations working at this location. They didn't appear burnt out, but dedicated to supporting their customers. I only get gas here and at the Valero near where I live. I am grateful for these two kind humans and I hope they get pay increases, because they are very valuable for our Oakland community.Thank you both, and God Bless,Annmarie

Gas on west grand. Conveniently has a lot of what you might need inside. Sometimes it is the little thing that make the difference. Not only is it very easy to get gas here and the staff are always courteous when I ask for a receipt. After posting this I received a kind reply and I updated my review to acknowledge the extra step and say thank you Arco, you get another star from me!

The biggest thing I didn't like was that they lock their doors when it gets dark. That makes it hard if not impossible to get what you want especially when there is a language barrier between you and the cashier.

Your employees friends shouldn't try to correct some random stranger on what pronouns they use and respect the customer when the customer corrects the employees friends. As a trans/nonbinary person I do not have to show my id to their friends to prove how trans/nonbinary I am no matter how many trans friends they have
