Service is horrible here. There are plenty of other banks and atm around and in the same street, you're better off with someone else, or go to a different location. This is a nice neighborhood, everyone's friendly, except this BoA. I've been a very long member but this bank location makes me want to completely remove them from my life. They won't even talk to you or acknowledge you. Make you seem like you are about to rob them. Their atm machine has a paper stuck in it, I just wanted to let them know, and they wouldn't even stop to look at me. ... jeeze, way to make members feel.

If I could give no stars I would. I don't usually write reviews of any kind, and only positive ones if necessary; however, today's experience at this branch left me entirely dumfounded. We have used this bank and this branch in particular for the last 30 years. In the beginning it was nice and convenient to our business location. It has steadily declined over the last 10 years and has been completely horrible in the last 5. Experiences like waiting in line for 20 minutes by myself while there was no teller and the manager said I had to wait until she was off her break - he could help do a deposit. Covid was hard for every business but they really took their time coming back and were even less friendly than usual. It is still the most convenient branch so we regularly suffered the lack of courtesy, much less actual customer service. Today they couldn't accurately enter our account number and sent our employee back with three deposits still in hand. She was told BY THE MANAGER that our account deposit slip was not for an active account even though they looked up her driver's license for identification and it was in their ID system. Our deposit slips today came from a deposit book that is almost empty - so it hasn't been a problem to use the slips for at least the last month or so. Guess we can't bank there any longer...darn :)

Turned me a way when I was 3 mins past closing and employees + customers inside... not sure why they couldn't bother fitting me in when folks continued to stand around.

To the Manager and Asst. Manager: Do you have any idea how crummy the service is at your branch? I'm a customerof 49 years; I was a VP and Branch Manager for BofA in downtown SF so when I went to your/my branch today to ask a simple question I found one employee - your loan officer that was walking in the door when I did about 2:15P. You had one teller with a customer and one officer in a cubicle with a customer. All I wanted to know was how to proceed to add my sister's name/signature to the sig cards for my checking, savings and safe deposit accounts at your branch. My sister is coming to town in about 2 weeks and I expect I'll need an appointment. The loan officer went to the back of the branch, returned and told me the Asst Manager, Chai, would be with me shortly. I waited about 10 minutes, but left since no one appeared. I told the loan officer about the crummy service, and said I would have to return since I had an appointment. Shame on you; it is extremely distressing to a former employee, current shareholder and long-time booster of BofA to observe the depth of the service deterioration. It's amazing that you have any business at all. Sincerely, Sarah S., Oakland, CA

Yes, I know this branch is temporarily closed. It must include the ATM, because both of them are not working.

Short story short, they don't make any effort to help you nor guide you. Came in with some questions about changing the picture on my debit card and credit card, and this lady said I can do it on my own through online banking. I asked if that was the only way I could change it & she said yes. I'm pretty sure they have all the resources to do it themselves and help but no effort. Definitely won't be coming to this branch again and don't recommend anyone to come.

Sure,. They are nice... But SLOW, inefficient AND they processed my transaction wrong. If you come, plan on spending awhile here.

Incredibly inefficient. It's a huge space with tons of people working here, but they are very poorly deployed. Everything is slow and bureaucratic. I can't wait to be part of First Republic and leave this s-show behind.

Horrible customer service. Nothing new, but after what happened yesterday, I am posting my opinion. Right before 6 PM, Karla (Carla) would not assist me when the ATM didn't give me my money. It appeared jammed. She would not get close enough to me for me to read her name tag. She was still at work in the bank and I was outside the glass front door which was locked. The security guard next to me was a witness. Karla told me to call the number on the ATM because the Bank was closed. It had closed at 5 PM, but she was still at work with several other employees and she refused to help me. I was furious. I had to call their district manager to help. Am thankful that VP Humann Y. immediately took care of the problem. He contacted the bank. The bank manager there on duty saw how Karla treated me and did not help fix the problem until Humann phoned the branch. This behavior is unacceptable. On a regular basis, there is only one teller on duty...even during a busy lunch hour. Customers need to come first. Enough with the big, new glass offices and loan officers who are not trained to fill-in as tellers. Over the years, I have removed funds and moved over to Wells Fargo. In the past, a lovely lady named JoRhonda tried to help and encouraged me to contact customer service with any concerns. Karla could learn a thing or two from her coworker.

Great associates. People in line get mad a lot! I've seen clients yell at associates for d*** reasons. The only reason I wouldn't return would be based off how I see some of the entitled feeling clients treat the workers like they're not human beings.

This branch (Montclair Branch in Oakland, CA) needs to disconnect their phones because they do not answer them nor do they allow you to stay on hold. I have one simple questions to ask them and I am unable to speak to anyone without going into the branch which is not that close to me. I am so frustrated with this situation and one star is too many.

Once again, BofA disappoints. I've been with them for about 14 years, mostly out of laziness and the convenience of their numerous ATM locations, but after being treated rudely by a teller at this location and being told I wouldn't be able to cash a check (I had the funds in my account to cover it), coupled with the other frustrations I've been dealt, I will be closing my accounts. Would not recommend.

This is the worst bank ever. I went to the bank and the security guard was so rude because he was playing on his cell phone and never looked up you could rob the bank with no problem. He will only speak to men that are his color so would like to set up a sting and get him on camera. I was there for 20 minutes he is still playing on the phone. Also I went inside the teller at the window today was so rude she is prejudice because every white person that went in and had an interaction with her she was rude and acted like they were wasting her time she was black and the security guy is Latino or Mexican. I really hate this branch I think they should fire everyone and start over. They are super slow they do not care about any of the people and they show that with how they act. Again people call in and complain as well as lets get them fired so we can maybe get people in that care and want to help us not racial and gender profile us there is no place in the world for people like this I have come up with a plan to set up a sting and get them I will upload it when that happens and Bank of America will need to answer so question I will most likely sue them on this complaint
