This is one of the most ghetto, ridiculous gas stations ever come here on my lunch break to go and get some snacks and some gas only for the inside to not be open and you have to go through the window wow, if I would’ve known that I would’ve went to the Shell, which was closer which you can’t go inside the whole point of a gas station with an indoor areas to go inside and be able to get refreshments. This is a ghetto establishment. It is not a safe place to be the staff is unprofessional, and you should avoid this place at all costs.

Pumps are insanely slow? It took over 10 minutes to fill my tank which is only 12 gallons. Not sure what is wrong with them.

Don't let the tidy and clean look of this gas station fool it: it sucks. Every card and pump you try gives you an error message until suddenly it decides to work. Today, on top of this usual hassle, the pump sensor that detects that your tank is full didn't work and overflew gas all over my car.

This is the Chevron gas station and foodmart at 17th St & Castro in West Oakland. It has a great location right next to the I-980 ramps. I've been to this station a few times, and it's on my "gas and go" list of places to get gas. I have never been inside the food mart. This is not the most dangerous gas station in Oakland, but it's in the Top 5. Especially after the attempted robbery and gunfight at a pump in Jan 2022. It was in the afternoon, robbers attacked an armed retired cop, and a gunfight erupted. Those bullets could of hit anybody. My gas gauge has to be really low for me to stop here. It's right near the freeway so gas prices are higher. On Sept 21, Reg UL was $5.79 and Prem was $6.17. Positives: Chevron is Top Tier fuel. This station has an ExtraMile Food Mart.
