CitiBank? More like "Shiti" Bank! A couple of weeks ago, I opened a checking account with Citibank, as well as a new line of credit to establish trust and build rapport. I had no idea that I would lose so much time and money doing business with Citibank. Every transaction was made into an investigation. Whether I purchased items online, bought produce at the grocery store, or paid for 93 octane at the local gas station, my charges were canceled and flagged for fraud. At first, I gave Citibank the benefit of the doubt. It is the holiday season, so I assumed they had my best interest at heart. There is, however, a difference between heightened security and just plain overreach. To make matters even more convenient, I spent hours on the phone with customer service representatives who were clearly in a distant country. I am not a xenophobe or a bigot; I just want to be able to hear what is being said over waves of unending static interference, especially considering a 95 billion-dollar company would be willing to outsource their jobs at the expense of their customers being barricaded behind a 2,000-mile language barrier. It got to the point that I stopped using my bank card completely. I simply didn't have time to have the card declined, sit on hold with the bank for 30 minutes at a time, and *hope* the CSR would lift the restriction on my checking account. Half the time, they would ask for my security questions, verify my phone number as well as my email address, and still tell me they didn't have sufficient proof that I verified my identity. Then they hung up in my face. I was speechless. I have always been polite; I never raised my voice or even used a sarcastic tone, despite how frustrating it can be to go through the same shenanigans three to four times a day. Today was the last straw. I attempted to withdraw money from my account, but the transaction was flagged at the teller (big surprise), then the manager and I called customer service. Customer service said they lifted the restriction, and when I attempted to withdraw my funds a second time, my account was blocked entirely. After an agonizing amount of deliberation, the branch manager cleared my transaction. I emptied my bank account and high-tailed it as fast as I could. If you like spending countless hours talking to robots and people who act like robots, this might be the bank for you. Just make sure you don't need your money any time soon. You have been warned.

I came to open my account in this branch couple weeks ago. Staff here are very friendly and happy to help. I was helped by Diana and Keith there and they both are very knowledgeable about their bank's products and promotions. Sometimes they are busy helping other customers but trust me they are worth for waiting for your turn. It's a small branch, but very efficient. I am happy with this branch.

Citibank fails to meet expectations over and over. You can't get a report of all your transactions in the past over 18 mos. You may be able to get a past statement (one month vs the entire year history - helpful to no one). You can only wire $50,000 at once and it takes them days to even approve the wire transfer. What is the point of a wire transfer being quick if it takes them many days to even approve it? I can't stand this bank. Would never bank with them again.

Honestly don't understand why a bank downtown doesn't open until 10am on a weekday. And closes at 5pm. I really need a new bank. These hours are ridiculous. Not to mention the entire branch really needs a refresh.

The hours are odd opening at 10AM. The staff is OK. The door handle is dangerous and my long sleeve shirt got caught in the handle and almost ripped my dress shirt long sleeve off. This shirt sleeve tore a good 12 inches and this dress shirt is gone. I was just opening the door to exit when I heard all this fabric tearing. I would replace these door handles that you can see in the pictures will snag any object. This branch needs a remodel or refresh too. I only use this branch because I work near this branch.

If you are a Citibank customer keep an eye on your account, especially if you use Zelle to transfer money. Due to their error, Citibank/Zelle "failed" a transfer and didn't notify either me or the sender. Then, after they took the funds back (that had deposited the day before), they decided I would be overdrawn as well. As of this moment, they claimed they returned the money to the sender, which they have not. Their "resolution" was to suggest the sender send the money AGAIN, so they can take the entire thing to cover the overdraft that wouldn't have happened if they hadn't taken the money!! They said they're having issues with other customers as well, so if you use Citibank, check your account. This is outrageous!!
