I have never been to this location and they have now charged me $200 in two days for merchandise. Someone at this location appears to be stealing from me and it is unacceptable

I'm an all access member and had an unfortunate experience at this studio with an instructor, Caitlin R. I arrived right on time or one minute late to class (my fault!) and only realized after the instructor was inside that I didn't have my mat. There was no other staff that I saw. I grabbed a CP mat and came into class. The instructor stopped her teaching and said loudly in front of the class, "I'm going to have to charge you for that." Um, yeah. I was going to tell someone after class. It has "Corepower" in huge letters on the front so it's obviously yours and it's not like I'm trying to hide it.Then after class, she stops me and is like, "I wasn't sure if you knew you needed to pay for mats," in this "gotcha" kind of way. I tell her yeah, I know, you were inside already, I was going to say something. And then she says it AGAIN. Am I missing something? At this point I'm uncomfortable and want to leave, but she's still repeating herself. (I have a card on file and was already charged for the mat at this point.) I finally had to go out the door and she was STILL talking at me. Her tone was so patronizing and condescending that I'm having a really hard time imagining her speaking this way to a white man, instead of me, a brown woman. She just had this attitude that was so... off. This is the opposite of how I want to feel at yoga. Please check yourself. Unfortunately this person is the manager (of both Oakland studios!) so can't go up the chain. Enjoy the $4.

I really love this studio and the instructors here, but they rarely have classes. Today is a Sunday and there are only two classes offered all day. Yesterday (Saturday), they only offered three classes, two of which were back-to-back C1 classes. For the hefty price tag of being a member (now $239), there should be more classes offered at this location. As the other reviewer noted, many classes here are often canceled as well.

This is one of my favorite CP studios based on cleanliness, changing room size and quality instructors. However, this studio also contains the most number of cancelled classes in the East Bay. I've observed this over the course of three months now. Wish they could tighten up their teaching schedule better. Otherwise it's a solid spot!

The workouts are great and the instructors I've been to (Tiffany and Erin) were so kind and had the best energy for their classes! The only thing is that the fitness studios are really small so I never feel that I can get a full range workout when classes are full because I'm bumping into the people around me which is stressful to have to keep worrying about. It would probably be better for them to lower their capacity for their classes to make for a more enjoyable experience. Parking is also pretty difficult to find during busy times so make sure to plan around that!

I attended my first yoga class with Caitlyn as the teacher. She was awesome, gave great cues and was very encouraging to all of us. The studio is very neat and clean. I really enjoyed this experience!

I just had my first class! Can you say cultural and body inclusivity? Format: There are ~4 unique classes. Each class has a specific sequence. Only the C1 class is not specifically hot yoga. * They embrace the 8 limbs of yoga! That is rare in westernized yoga studios. It goes beyond asana (poses). * Most every ethnic group and gender was in this morning's Hot Powet Fusion class. *They humanize and empower pupils to safely modify or reject poses. Can't do Crane? Pick another inversion like forward fold. Caitlin was the instructor I had. I certainly plan to return!

Nice yoga studio and the teachers are all good. The classes are all held in a warm 95 degrees environment so you get quite a workout. I take both the Core Power 2 and Sculpt classes. The sculpt classes are quite challenging as you're working out with weights in a heated room but if you're up for the challenge, it feels so good afterwards. There are no sign ups, you just show up. Except for one time, I have never been turned away. During one holiday, the class was so full, they stopped allowing participants for safety reasons. I get that. Just show up earlier on a holiday class. Generally, the classes are not too packed, but even if they are, everyone is nice about it. The room gets even hotter then. Make sure to always bring a towel and water bottle. They have a water bottle filler but it costs $2 for a bottle of water and $2 each for a towel or mat rental. There are showers and lockers and they provide locks to use. There are lockers in the mainn hallway and in the men's and women's changing rooms. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

Hey I really like CorePower classes. I have been a meme been for a long time. I am from LA just moved up here. I also been to classes at the Hawaii locations. I just have to say I was actually disgusted by the amount of hair and dirt on the floor. The bathrooms were nasty too. I normally feel comfortable walking with no shoes on but I left my socks on and just took them when I'm on my mat. You guys please do something about the cleanliness. Hire someone we pay so much money to get classes here can we please just have a clean studio.

I came in today for the first time and took advantage of their free week offer. I took the CP2 class, which is the heated yoga and was it toasty! Halfway through the class, I was dripping in sweat, but I felt fantastic after the class. It's a clean, spacious yoga studio. They have a little shop in the front for your yoga needs. There's also showers in the bathrooms as well as lockers in the bathrooms and outside of the bathrooms. They offer yoga mats and towels, but you have to pay $2 each to rent them. Your first rental is free though. One thing I appreciate about CorePower is the amount of classes. There's a lot of classes to choose from at different times throughout the day.
