To Davy A: Online it does say the pharmacy closes at 6p- sounds like you are reading off the front store hours Which is why Walnut Creek cvs was recommended - their pharmacy closes at 7p Unfortunately, our line essentially is constant all day long with no breaks- if we help you after we have closed, we will also have to help everyone else who sees you being helped (or they will all be very upset) and we won't be able to close the store on time. Also, we are not supposed to ring our Rxs beyond closing since our terminals are in offline mode and there is a higher chance the Rx won't register as being "sold" (which results in a loss of insurance reimbursement plus copay). Not to mention, there is a labor budget we are held to, and every single minute that we have is precious. Those are just a few reasons. I wish cvs would provide us a vacuum that worked and a much better functioning and looking facility, but I cannot control that. In regards to helping phone calls, you showed up after closing, and our phone lines are shut off after closing so you must be referring to a previous experience. Like I mentioned the line is constant, so if we never take a phone call between customers, that call could be on hold for hours - if that was your family member, I don't think you'd want that for them. Take care Drew Rx manager

Worst pharmacy experience in history. Understaffed, ceiling falling in, taking phone calls before in-person customers, long lines, shortened hours, dirty floors. The hours online say open til 7 on Saturdays. once you get there, there's a sign in the store that says "our new hours" and they're only open til 6. Here's a helpful hint: posting the hours inside doesn't help anybody. There were two guys still there, and I asked them to please sell me a prescription that was ready, and they suggested I go to Walnut Creek, where the prescription wasn't even called in. so obviously, we are not dealing with MENSA members here. But still, why don't you try just going a little bit overboard as part of Customer Service? just absolutely pathetic.

If you want to stand in line forever, go here!!! they have a lunch hour which they don't post so you don't know that they won't be back for an hour-ish which I was told after waiting for over 15 minutes and the pharmacist just kept smiling at me. When I asked when I would be helped, he said they were on lunch, I said, where is there a sign that says that? He said oh yeah, I probably should put one up....duh

My prescription has taken so far more than two hours to fill (I'm still waiting...). While I have been waiting I overheard a "consultation" the pharmacist provided a patient who was wanting to know the safety profile, half life, and side effects of the medication he'd been prescribed. He was told just "I have no idea what the half life is but if your doctor told you to take it I'm sure it will be fine." (Note that I am myself a physician and if a patient asked me a question to which I didn't know the answer I would, um, LOOK IT UP.) Not impressed at all.

Don't go to this pharmacy unless you want to waste your time. It's probably the dirtiest pharmacy you will ever see. I scheduled vaccinations 2 weeks ago. Cvs spam texted me nearly every day to remind me of the appointment. They ran out of vaccines some time during the day and I guess couldn't send me one more text message to let me know. I waited for over 30 minutes to have them tell me they don't have the vaccine at all. While waiting the pharmacy staff were incredibly rude to an old lady in need of her medication. And everyone overheard the pharmacist calling a parent of a young child who accidentally received an adult covid vaccination. If you want to waste your time, get the wrong or no vaccinations, and/or have to deal with rude unorganized pharmacy staff this is your place I guess.

I really appreciate that the pharmacist and the team have consistently demonstrated empathy and kindness, and tried to help whenever they can. They are not a robot taking orders but you can see they truly care. When the doctor was late to give them the info they still gave us the meds for a couple of days until the full confirmation came from the doctor so we don't miss doses.

My doctor sent in my prescription a week ago. I never heard from CVS so I called yesterday, only to be on hold for almost 20 minutes before hanging up. When I checked the prescription status online nothing showed up. Tried the pharmacist again and was told the prescription had been put on hold for a week although they couldn't tell me why. The gentleman on the phone said he could fill it within an hour. I said I would pick it up this morning, but when I checked the status to make sure it was ready it showed as delayed for another day. Selected the option to speak to the pharmacist to get the prescription transferred to another CVS - was told they can't do that even though they've done it twice before when they didn't have a medication. She finally looked up my prescription and said they had the medication there and I could pick it up in 2 hours. I showed up 2 hours and 40 minutes later and it still wasn't filled. Turns out the person filling prescriptions didn't bother to check their shelf and just said they didn't have the medication. The pharmacist instructed them to expedite filling it for me but the person kept doing other things. When the pharmacist asked if they were done with my order they just laughed and asked her if she wanted to do it. I was the only person waiting and there were 5 staff people. Due to a health issue I have a hard time standing for long without shaking. By the time everything got done I couldn't even sign my name. I certainly didn't find anything funny about waiting over a week for my medication, the time wasted on phone calls, and the additional wait in the store. Having the staff member laugh about not checking to see if they had the medication and being asked twice to fill it quickly was just completely disrespectful. Definitely not how customers should be treated!

Nothing bad to say, cvs store tucked in a shopping area, staff are friendly. Near a Peet's coffee. Clean inside and out.

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. The staff is rude, won’t let you ask questions about your prescriptions, lack all semblance of customer service. How does CVS allow this level of incompetence and indifference. I avoid this location at all costs. Seriously, some customer is going to die someday because this pharmacy staff won’t take their time to do their jobs and assist customers with questions. The worst!!

Worst pharmacy ever!!! Kept me on hold for over an hour. Multiple calls. First they told me that they are out of a medication and to ask the doctor to change it from 5 mg to 10 mg. So we did that. Now they are saying that they don’t have 10 mg and to change it to 5 mg. Then when I asked to talk to the manager the man on the phone lied and told me that he is the manager and told me “that he would put me on hold until I calm down.” AVOID this horrible place.

Avoid if you can. They stole $100 from me. Refused a refund I was assured would be no problem when I made the purchase. There's a pharmacy across the street.

Terrible service. I returned an unopened purchase for a refund. Was told it wouldn't be a problem when I bought it. The obviously unhappy employee refused to process the refund. I get businesses are understaffed. I can't blame the employees for being stressed. It's the management that stole a lot of money from me.

I honestly think this pharmacy must work hard to be as difficult and profoundly unhelpful as they are. The last time I was in town, the pharmacist here claimed that they could not refill my prescription because it had already been filled over in Tiburon - so I raced over to Tiburon (as much as one can "race" in traffic that took an hour), only to be told that the pharmacist got the store number wrong and, in fact, the prescription had been filled in my hometown in So.Cal. An evening wasted, and I still didn't have the prescription that I needed. I just called today to confirm that they had this same drug before traveling up, so that I could have my doctor call it into the pharmacy and avoid this same problem - and they refused to tell me, citing "policy" (despite the fact that they told me before, in person, where to find my drugs and despite the fact that two CVS stores in So.Cal. had already told me whether they did or did not have the drug that I need). The service is slow and just... bad, in my opinion. I will not contact or (try to) use them again.
