First of all the movers themselves were TERRIFIC, but the management was BAIT AND SWITCH on pricing. Encore changed the price at pickup despite having photos and videos of the pickup and dropoff site. Literally whited out the price on the invoice and raised it by $150 upon pickup. SCAM. Buyer BEWARE!!!! After original price was paid continued to harass by phone and text. Even the delivery guys couldn't believe the shenanigans management way pulling. STAY AWAY!

Very reasonable price for delivering even though I later found some scratches on one side of the piano.

Great experience moving a Yamaha U3 upright piano in the Bay Area with Encore. Their rate was reasonable, they were very responsive, and the moving team showed up when they said they would, was fast and gentle with the piano.

Responsive regarding moving quote but beware, the website has not been updated - they do not do tuning and repair at this point.

Encore is difficult to work with, they change prices with every invoice, I suggest looking for a different company

Damaged my brand new piano. I was surprised that the piano had no cover around it while it was in the truck. When it arrived, it had scuff marks all over it. When i requested that they repair it, they asked me if I would be paying for it! Would not recommend.

Encore Piano moved my Yamaha NU1X from San Francisco to San Jose and delivered it in perfect condition on schedule. Initially we did a number of calls and emails to make sure the team knew the layout of where they were picking up and delivering, i.e. steps, overhead clearance, tight turns. So be sure to take a few pictures you can send to them beforehand. They came as scheduled, those guys are strong and took the piano down my stairs, which are fairly steep, easily and safely. They delivered the piano the next day also on schedule. Highly Recommend.

Encore Piano first helped me move my baby grand Yamaha out of my old apartment, and helped me store it & the bench for a reasonable monthly price. My apartment back then was pretty modern with new, spacious elevators and wide hallways. When I recently got a new Floor 7 apartment in metropolitan San Francisco, I definitely gave them an extra challenge that most piano movers probably won't even consider. Encore sent their crew to inspect my place 3 times to make sure the tiny 5ft, 100+ year-old elevator was not an option.Yet the Encore Piano crew made it work safely and efficiently. Within 15-20 minutes, they overcame the impossible challenge by working HARD & SMART.Throughout the process, an Encore manager did an excellent job communicating with me on planning. All 3 times when a crew was going to visit my place, the Office contacted for scheduling and handled the business professionally. No question of the fact that they know the business more than anyone. No doubt in the future, I'll seek help from Encore. They are my GO-TO for piano moving.FIVE STARS

I was super impressed with the service today. The movers called last night to ask about the stair situation at my house- I sent photos last night so they knew how many people are needed to maneuver my very narrow stairway with a baby grand piano. The movers called 30 minutes before delivery, the delivery was made WITHIN the promised time frame. The guys that showed up are super professional, extremely hard working, and well put together team . I was so impressed with their work ethic and respect for my house and the piano. All the surfaces were protected and they took utmost care not to damage anything . In fact - there's not a single scratch on the walls or the piano. ANAZING! considering they had to deal with such a narrow stairwell. Great job , thank you so much! Highly recommend!!!!

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea gifted us a beautiful black Yamaha piano in perfect condition. Since he is moving back to Korea, he hired Encore Piano movers to deliver the piano to our home. Their moving price was $430 and other comparable movers provided an estimate for $600. Since their price was competitively better, the Consulate went with this company. Encore Piano movers texted me that they were 30-40 minutes at 6:58am. I was in the back room breastfeeding babies and my husband was working from home, so we both had our hands full, but we were prepared for their arrival and to let them know where to place the piano. Just looking at the piano from standing in front of it, everything looked perfect. My husband briefly looked around standing up and walking around the piano, and didn't see any damages. He never thought of crouching down to look at the piano closely like an investigator (ie back and bottom corners of the piano). Well, the next day, I had help with the babies and cleaned the piano, and found several scratches and dents (even broken wood in the back upper corner!). One would never see this unless you looked closely. I am livid. I hired professional Yamaha piano cleaners and they can't believe how this perfectly maintained piano arrived to our home with dings and scratches everywhere. My husband and I called the company and texted the same number that had texted us, and no one responded. Extremely disappointed!

I did not use the business because I needed a piano mover and not a tuner. But, he recommended a fantastic mover and so pleasant on the phone. I will use him to tune my piano.

I called a month prior to schedule my move for April 8 since they only schedule piano moves on Fridays. Ever since I booked my move, I've been coordinating with Maria, their receptionist to purchase additional insurance since their company only insures up to 100K. I hadn't received a call the morning prior to my scheduled move as told, so I called them with no answer. Upon leaving several VMs, Andrew finally called me back in the afternoon. After explaining to him that my piano is a Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand piano & required additional insurance before the move, he assured me that Kim was working on it. He then noticed that the receptionist who wrote down my information misquoted me & didn't have enough men/muscle to complete my piano move. On top of it all, Andrew asked me if their company could do a same-day delivery instead of having my piano delivered on Saturday. After hearing that, I told him that I hadn't agreed to having my piano stored & that I was under the impression that I clearly scheduled a same-day-move! Through ALL of the back & forth calls/texts along with my patience, I am left feeling that I was being jerked around for the simple fact that I was misquoted for a cheaper price than what the actual cost of the move was. Therefore, Encore didn't want to fulfill their agreement with me hence, purposely chose not to communicate with me. Compounded by failing to assist me in buying additional insurance to fulfill my move, I was forced to reschedule since it didn't make sense to go ahead with the move without having my Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand piano fully insured. Upon calling Encore last month to schedule this move, I actually believed their words on their website & trusted them since they claimed to have been in business for over 35 years! I felt confident in calling on a company that had been moving pianos longer than I've been alive! Boy was I fooled! When I called Andrew to follow-up regarding the additional insurance, his reply was that he couldn't guarantee that he would be able to provide me with it before my move. He sure sounded relieved when I told him to reschedule. My gut tells me just because his receptionist misquoted me half the total price of what my piano move would cost, he's choosing to j*** me around just so that I'll take my business else where. I've honestly taken this GRAND sign as a blessing in disguise that this company is unprofessional & that they DO NOT deserve the honor of touching my Bosendorfer Imperial concert grand piano. After reaching out to John/Jhon the scheduler to confirm that Andrew notified him of the cancellation for my move tomorrow, he responded with "Wrong number". As if his phone call to me scheduling an 8A-11A window for arrival didn't happen? Instead of being able to give themselves the credit of moving such a rare piano, they now have the record of it being a missed opportunity due to their administrative negligence. Give yourself the peace of mind & DO NOT trust your prized piano move with this company!

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional. Unfortunately I cannot agree with the positive reviews of this company. They don't honor their appointment times and keep rescheduling and not showing up.
