I had an appt at 9am. They started to work on my car after 3pm. I believed they did a rush job because they close at 5pm. The website says they close at 7pm and the signage on the building states they close at 6pm. This place has the worst customer service. You could not get me to return to this place even if you paid me to return. I wish I would have read the reviews.

I made an appointment for oil change for three times but still haven't get my service done. First time they changed my appointment time without any informed in advance. Then I made a second appointment and when I arrived they told they hadn't accept it yet, ok the second time is my fault. Then I made a third one, this time they told me not able to do the oil change for me once again without any informed in advance! They asked me go home and make a new appointment, i was like????

As a mental health worker in Alameda county I am required to use my own vehicle to support the community. I caught a flat tire in Oakland hitting a pothole. Once I realized I pulled over and realized I was next to this closest Firestone literally a block away. I called and they were able to help me. I came in and they replaced my tires within minutes. This was such a stress free experience and had me out to continue my day. Thank you guys so much!

Poor customer service! Just came in for a free battery check as they advertise since I believe it's about time my battery may need to be replaced. Waited 40 minutes as there were 2 people in front of me dropping off their vehicles and getting a quote which is of course fine HOWEVER, there was one guy helping everyone meanwhile another dude (I am assuming is the manager) just stood there. He even came up to us and said sorry for the front guy taking a bit even though he himself was doing nothing. I even made it aware I just needed a battery check so it would be quick. This location is in the middle of the street so alot of cars are just parked there blocking traffic. The sooner my car was out of the way I feel like would help clear the congestion. When it was finally my turn, the guy said it would take 2 hours to check my battery. I asked why and he said my battery is in my trunk which I corrected him and said it's actually in the front. He hesitated and said fine and to pull in. Once pulled in I opened my hood for him and proceeded to tell him the battery was under the cover. He said he can't check the battery because it was bolted so it'll be no longer free since it is considered disassembling. My battery cover was in fact not bolted as it was just a simple clip that opens with a flick of a finger I could have opened for him myself. At this point I was over it and would rather just go to oreilys. They seemed to be just trying to make a quick buck out of me

Absolutely great experience for my car inspection. It was quick and the car explanation was clear. I felt safe and the store manager was very welcoming

I called and spoke with Greg Williams, the manager of this location, around 11am. He quoted a price of $482.95 and confirmed that this included two tires, labor, and taxes. He did try some upselling, but we had a clear sense of what we expected to pay and decided to come to this location based on that estimate. When my partner (a woman) arrived, he immediately quoted a price that was $180 larger. After some prodding and highlighting that this was not the price quoted to me, they then told her that the absolute lowest they could do it for was $495. No ride was offered to her home or back to the tire shop when the work was ready, despite assurances that this would be provided and a history of doing that for other customers. My partner went back to the shop clarifying we would only pay the price initially quoted. She asked the dealer to remove the expense. After berating her, Greg then switched his story to "I did not include tax". When I got on the phone, I calmly told him that if he does not fulfill the request, I would file complaints with the BBB, corporate, and write a 1 star Yelp review. He then threatened to remove the tires altogether (which seems like a lot of labor?) to put on the old ones if we did not pay the $495. I then told my partner to pay the expense, calmly telling her that I would start filing the complaint After I hung up, I was stressed, exhausted and frustrated. What was worse, and a fireable offense, in an act of unambiguous gaslighting, he then proceeded to berate and verbally abuse my partner, saying 'he felt disrespected' on the phone, and 'he would have taken off the expense if she just asked.' But she absolutely did ask, and I confirmed several times in my initial phone call that the price of $482.95 was what we would pay including parts, labor, and taxes. To try to tell a woman a completely different price than a man, initially stating almost $200 more than initially quoted, is an outright act of misogyny. It is will documented and should be a major concern of auto body shops like this that women are frequently quoted significantly higher prices than men because of a perceived lack of knowledge. This misogynistic action is precisely what happened, and is not just unacceptable bad customer service. It is also illegal. I would strongly advise against using this shop under any circumstance, particularly if you are a woman, but even if not, be prepared to pay a price wildly different than what you are quoted on the phone.

My car die on the driveway. AAA came for a jump start but suggest that I get my car charging system check, because it could be an alternator that need replacement?I always take my car to the Friestone for the last 30 yeras, since I am out of towner therefore I decided to stick with Firestone.Greg in Oakland Broadway suggest a $49 all charging system check but the technician didn't find any fault in the charging system, instead of charging me $49, Greg only charge me $10 for his technician time.I was there for 3 hours (i am from out of town and i need to wait for my service) i listen to everything Greg talk to his customers over the phone. he is very PPPP polite, patient, professonal and personal to all of the callers. He will do his best to save them money and offer them alternative but not short sell them on safety.Very niec guy!

I called to make an appointment this morning and was told to come on down for a 10:30 am slot. My car would be done at 1:30. I show up and there’s a lot of cars here. I call at 2:19 and find they haven’t even started on my car yet because they had to wait for a part for the car ahead of me. If that’s the case they should have started on the next car while waiting for the part. All I needed was an oil change and wheel alignment. I come back at 4:49 and the car is still not yet finished. If they were too bemuse to work on my car today they should have told me to come a different day. Not great with their scheduling! I was also told that 2 of my tires need replacing but I had just had them checked at another tire center and they told me those tires were fine. Not very happy with this Firestone location. Th ey are always late.

fraud and deception!!! poor customer service; poor auto mechanics. no inter-department communication. terrible/horrible business acumen!!! shame on firestone. the oakland franchise is the worst!!! the manager, horrible representative of corporate representative. they lied about my 2006 porsche cayenne s being all fixed and ready to pick up. i asked to test drive my vehicle prior to payment, and they stated i had to pay for repars prior to. i drove the vehicle around the block, and i couldn't hardly drive it. no mention of transmission problems during phone calls or during pickup. the service tech gerald informed me that the vehicle was fixed and ready to pick up. i asked gerarld if he test drove the vehicle. he said no. he wasn't aware of transmission issues. he then passed me to the service manager. that's when the ruudness began. he was totally intolerable. i asked gerald for a refund of $2,395.00 cash. he refused. this oakland store is running a rackett!!! do not trust the individual, mechanics, especially the service manager. He's truly a crook!!! this guy is in desperate need of corporate customer service training!!!! I really feel like I was ROBBED at Gun Point!!! IM MORE HURT AND DISPPOINTED BECAUSE I TRUSTED HARVEY FIRESTONE ABOVE ALL..... H E L P!!!!

The team specifically Greg Williams were great. My car was finished when they said it would be. He explained everything and was nice enough to wait for me when I arrived a few minutes late to pick up my car. I will come back again and recommend to friends.
