Small store. Not a huge variety. Pricey- which I understand, importing is expensive. Would be cool if they had like a gift box where you could try a bunch of stuff. Would be cool to carry more beverages than just soda. I know there's more out in the world. But maybe they're just not there yet.

There’s a broad variety of different snacks and drinks from around the world. The owner was helpful and answered all of our questions about each item he had in stock. I will definitely go again and give it another try!

This is definitely the place to come and treat yourself for candy you can’t find in regular stores. My favorite so far is the Dubai Cinnabon Kit Kat and the Japan white peach Fanta. This going to be my new guilty pleasure spot. It seems a little pricey when you first look. But when you compare pricing from online, it’s wayyy cheaper here. Can’t wait to go back.

Great spot to get some good snacks you probably never seen before.. Brandon the owner was cool and helped us out. Never been to a little mini mart where they had good customer service so this was nice to be able to feel welcomed. This is a must try spot.

This place had the craziest snacks I've ever seen from all over the world. like I see on them on the Internet all the tim so I was happy to hear there's a local spot in Oakland that got em. I got the Korean cream cheese and garlic lays because I Love garlic. I also got the Melon kit Kat from Japan because the guy at the store said it was his favorite and it's really good. He even gave me a sample and he was right! I bought the minute maid Tropical Punch from China and honestly it might have been drink I ever tasted. Highly recommend this shop the items are rare and prices are really reasonable. Plus they give you free full size candy. I'm definitely coming back.

Fruitvale Exotic Snax occupies this space with a smoke shop. it's a few doors from Domino's Pizza on the corner. didn't see much snack options on the saturday i went. it was mostly Lay's chips from China, Thailand, and Japan. didn't see any candy, especially KitKat's. the ice creams are ones usually sold on ice cream trucks. i didn't see refrigerated sodas. just fantas on the shelf. eats: chips 5.99@ or 2/$10 + free domestic candy of choice with purchase. -"Spicy Crayfish flavor" from China.(50 gram) made with palm oil, cucumber flavorings. no flavor tasted at all-no spicy, no shellfish. would skip anything from China in future -"Spicy Lobster" from Thailand (60 gram) has palm oil, paprika, msg, aspartame, shrimp, fish slightly spicy, has "shellfish" flavor..nothing special crumbs: -free candy was a KitKat made in the U.S. -Lay's is owned by Pepsico. none of the chips from Lay's are actual authentic foreign products-they just imitate flavors of authentic native products. Lay's was only chip brand seen. no other foreign chip brand. -selection of snacks limited when i was there,.

As a lover of international snacks I definitely had to pay their shop a visit. It's right on Fruitvale about two doors in from the Domino's Pizza so parking can be pretty tough. My suggestion would be to park at the BART station and then jog across the street. Two shops occupy the space. One is a smoke shop and the other is the snack shop. I came for the snacks that's all this review will be about. When you walk in, immediately to the right is a refrigerator filled with American and International beverages. The chip section was very interesting. It seemed that the majority of the chips came from either China, Korea or Japan. The gentleman I spoke with (I assume is the owner) was very patient and explained where each of the chips came from and what type of experience you would have when devouring them. I was torn between the Fried Crab and Crawfish, and the Fried Crab won out since he said it's very seafood forward. There was also a variety of sweets to choose from as well. Immediately the blueberry kit Kat caught my eye but then I quickly discovered a Cinnabon Kit Kat. The most interesting sweet I saw was a box of Twix cookies. The gentleman informed me that when you buy them you have to microwave them for about 5 seconds to allow the caramel to melt for the full effect. I think the prices are quite reasonable compared to what I've seen on Amazon and best of all each purchase comes with a free candy.
