Good general store in heart of Oakland Chinatown in case you need basic household wares. Price on par with other places, with some hard to find items. They even have old school water balloon they sell that I could not find elsewhere. Thank you JESUS!

Good general store that sells quite a few essential items. Got some wash cloths here and a hat on a sunny day.

Good store for picking-up household goods and sundries! We came to get some Chinese New Year items! They had a large selection to choose from! Displaying the items was great! The store has been a adventure when we visit at times to look for items. The staff tries hard to help you find what you need and recommend items! We will return!

I'm so glad this spot is open during sheltering in place. Don't expect this place to be greet you with wonderful service. This is located in Chinatown and we all know customer service isn't Chinatown's forte. I was looking for a mortal and pestle for my new cooking endeavors. Most of the places in the area are closed or don't have housewares items. Casually walked by this place because it's so unassuming to determine what this place sells with small chairs and mops displayed outside. Luckily I noticed other browsers inside and took the leap inside and ogled. The store filled with items you would need to clean and cook--all activities everyone is doing while staying at home :) Lo and behold I found my item! Don't expect a huge stock of items but you can expect something to be there. They do seem to stock up on a regular basis as I noticed a merchandiser speaking with the owner of what items they need to restock their shelves. I overhead them mention people have been buying hot pot cookware--no more backpacks because kids are not walking to school. So happy to have stumbled upon this. Love the convenience of doing my grocery shopping a couple of blocks over and the next time I need anything for my house I know where to stop by.

Something has changed since I left Oakland almost five years ago, and I can't put my finger on what, but it's something like a layout change. Nothing that really affects anything. I don't think I recognise current staff, but they're very nice anyway. This is an incredible general store. They have great sounding earbuds for 4$/pair, as well as many smartphone accessories at that price point. I met my new favourite toothpaste there, and they have a wife range of daily needs goods. They also sell single Sharpies, which is great. They have those vinyl luggage bags that zip closed, they have stuff for your bathroom and kitchen, and they take card over a certain amount, which I believe is a mere ten dollars, and is worth mentioning because a lot of Chinatown is cash only. They don't have OTC medicines like some general stores, but they do have most non-consumable daily needs. They even have a small section of linens. The only thing I couldn't find there was mimikaki, which I only know how to say in my mother tongue, which is not Cantonese, but somehow the cashier understood what I was talking about without me having to try to describe it for three minutes. I guess they might be something we didn't get from China.

I love this place, this is my favorite store in Oakland, Chinatown. It carries a little bit of everything. They carry dishes, trinkets, stationary, a little bit of Chinese painting supplies, and more. I have been there a few weeks less of a month ago, and it was open. I wonder why reported closed. I recommend to check to see if it is open.
