Last week, I purchased a pizza slicer from another store, but it broke when I attempted to use it. I came to Laurel Ace to get a replacement because I know that its products are sturdy.
Marcos, the associate who assisted me, not only directed me to the proper aisle, but, to my surprise and gratification, TESTED the slicer to make sure that it would hold up! As if this wasn't enough, I also told me that I could bring it back if I had any problems.
I ALWAYS get great service at my neighborhood Ace, but young Marcos is among the BEST associates who I've ever been blessed to deal with. You can NEVER lose by going to Laurel Ace, particularly if he assists you.

Not a big fan of this location. It's hard for me to be a fan of Ace hardware because of the mark up in everday products and the security value has become higher than the customer value and spoils the over all experience.. They lock up their tool isles and have a guy in charge of overseeing.. He radios in the front desk of the items in route to make sure items are paid for . Then afterall that its your turn to enter the isle..lol they need more theft stickers and door alarms not this inconvenience and hassle for the customers. All in all their are more good people than bad.. all stores are getting ridiculous with security protocols, locking items in glass cases having to wait on employees to ask them to unlock it and then feel some type a way for having to follow them to buy it.. legislation should up the degree of punishment for theft in instead.. But this location is ridiculous..

Price MAY be a little higher* and selection MAY be a little less*, than the big box stores but the SERVICE is ALWAYS unmatched in almost ANY retail experience. *Price and selection are not necessarily better at a box store either.
On my most recent visit, I walked in with a clothes washer hose with a the brass fitting to the ange valve stuck in the hose. The associate Paul took the hose in the back and got the fitting out of the hose in a couple minutes then diagnosed the fitting as reusable with a little clean up and to replace the hose, which they had a foot longer in stock. Try getting that level of FREE service at Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowe's!

Great local hardware store that has served the Laurel, Redwood Heights, Diamond and Maxwell Park Neighborhoods for more than a century. Our family has been going here since the 50s and while their ownership has changed, the service remains pretty good.

Stopped into my local Ace, the Laurel Ace to pick up a couple of quick things. Every single staff person was helpful, I was greeted when I walked in the door, smiles abounded and the fellow who directed me to the aisle I needed was so nice, I started singing “Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man”.

Laurel hardware has anything you need for home improvements. It's two floors so it may appear small but its not. Parking is decent. Thay share that space with a bank but there's always a spot open. The staff is friendly and always willing to help.
