A great place to stay and just a few steps away from bart station to get to San FRANCISCO and the staff are very nice and helpful and there are great views of city and there's local farmers market on Fridays. And there are a lot great local restaurants and the hotel have a great place to eat the Iron&Oak restaurant on the second floor they sever good food, the best are the loaded tots and truffles fries.

Spacious, clean and inviting rooms. Attentive and friendly staff. Attracts a variety of clientele. I've stayed here twice. The first time, they were conducting auditions for a well-known reality show. This second time, a college football team from Miami was visiting to play the local team. Both times, we had a great time and despite both events, not a sound could be heard in the room. Slept well.

Excellent stay in this hotel with warm and renovated rooms.
The location is really ideal for reaching downtown SF in 20 minutes or the OAK or SF airports. Small remark about the noise of the metro which passes below the hotel and which can be heard a little. For us this was not a real problem.
Rooms: Renovated and pleasant

Good breakfast, a little expensive, great value stay overall. Proximity to BART 12th Street station makes trips into San Francisco easy. You can save money staying in the East Bay but the trade-off is a 20-30 minute trip each way.
Rooms: Nice size king rooms, good bathroom andi higher floor rooms on South/West sides have great views over the harbour and San Francisco.
Walkability: This hotel is right next to the BART 12th Street station - easy access to San Francisco SFO and OAK. Short walk to Jack London Square or bus service.

It's definitely time for them to spend money to remodel or a damn good cleaning.

We have a corner room and it's pretty small.. not enough for 2 people. Parking is $4 for 20 minutes or $50 a day. I had to pay $36 for a little over 4 hours. There's free parking but blocks over.
Rooms: The corner room is too small for 2 people. The a/c barely does anything it dont push no type of air into the bathroom so it's really hot in there

The room is really small. Has a little bit of a nice view. Parking was a hassle. The parking thats connected to the hotel is $4 for the first 20 minutes. But its $50 a day. Free parking is blocks away..
Rooms: The corner rooms are really small. Not enough room for 2 people
Nearby activities: Located downtown so theres alot of activities to do around

The hotel is just okay. Rooms meet marriots standard, property is clean, and the M club lounge is decent. Parking is extremely expensive and not included at 55 a night. The M club lounge charges for alcohol during the evening service (11$ for a beer and 15$ for a glass of wine), at that point it shouldn't even be offered as it's typically free.

I stayed at this hotel during the recent Dreamforce event in San Fransisco as part of the staff allocation. While over the bridge in Oakland, the hotel is located right across the road from the BART and it only took 15-20 mins to be at SF Tower or Moscone. The area was pretty good, with a selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
The hotel was solid and what you expect from a standard Marriott. Comfy bed, decent sized TV and a small workspace. The bathroom was spacious, but the water pressure on the low side. There was no breakfast buffet, but the Iron & Oak breakfast was tasty diner food (but not included as a perk for Platinum Elite members)
The room service menu was small, but the food was tasty enough and the staff were friendly, even if a little understaffed for a big event. would definitely return.
