Pacific Renaissance Plaza (PRP) is a vibrant hub located in the heart of Oakland’s Chinatown, one of the oldest in the nation. This large building occupies an entire city block and features a variety of establishments, including the Oakland Chinatown library, the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, and the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce. Visitors can enjoy a selection of affordable Chinese restaurants on the ground floor, serving dishes like BBQ pork, roast duck, and soy sauce chicken wings, though some have noted that service at certain other dining options can be slow and prices high. PRP offers a clean and decorated environment with seating areas, a fountain, and hanging lanterns, making it a pleasant place to relax and people-watch. The plaza also includes convenient amenities like public underground parking, a Quest blood drawing office, and an optician. Cultural events featuring authentic Chinese dances and music are held during holidays, enriching the community experience. Although some shops have closed, the plaza remains a cherished spot for locals and visitors alike, combining shopping, dining, and cultural education in a lively atmosphere.
It's a really vibrant and simultaneously very relaxed place where you can comfortably both walk around and enjoy a meal.

Unusual court in Oakland where testing and reading are encouraged (the Asian library). Clean, where the different generations mix. We should have more of it in the Bay.

Good venue for graduation too even with about 60 graduates. Parking at the back, made it very convenient too.
