Management needs to do a better job at educating all employees about ADA compliance and being more welcoming to customers with disabilities. I came in here with my service dog, Who was clearly sporting their badge, and encountered an employee who acted passive aggressively towards me after they told me "no pets allowed". When I gestured towards the badge and said this is a service animal, they said "that doesn't tell me anything". The subsequent interaction would be considered discrimination under ADA laws. I wish more people knew how their miseducation on this topic creates innumerable micro-aggressions for people with disabilities to deal with on a daily basis.

Dont know what to say love the selection, the produce, the staff, the meat dept. It's a great place. BUT parking has become unavailable at all times of the day and all year round. It used to be parking was "difficult" the week before Thanksgiving and Christmas but at this point I have driven away unable to find parking. Almost EVERY TIME Im in the store someone is complaining about the lack of parking. I was going to stop by the other day for some premade sandwiches for lunch.... couldnt find parking. another recent trip had to drive around the parking lot multiple times before I found a spot and the store was completely empty. Im told before the store is even open a third of the parking is gone I see people with yoga mats parking in the lot and then walk down the street. at this point they have lost hundreds of dollars just from me over the lack of parking over the last month...I guess I'll be heading back to Berkeley bowl now. They used to have a parking attendant and you could find parking but he sadly passed away management from what I understand refuses to replace him.

2nd time received rude check out treatment from the same person. This lady seems to think she is doing us a favor by checking us out. Customer service in the market good.

I don't know what's going on but it is IMPOSSIBLE to find parking in the lot lately . Zero spaces on a Saturday afternoon but hardly any customers in the store itself. I hope they consider monitoring the lot to ensure actual grocery store customers are parking there and not nearby residents and other walk-offs.

The whole vibe is quite strange. Yesterday I stopped by after work because I wanted some good chocolate to eat. As I browsed through the chocolate section I noticed a guy (an employee) staring at me suspiciously the whole time, as if I was going to steal some chocolate!?. He kept staring at me in an aggressive and suspicious way the entire time. He made me feel so uncomfortable that I decided to leave the store instead. I live in the neighborhood and the store is just a couple of blocks from my place but I don't think I can go back again - the whole thing felt bizarre...

Good quality. Very good service. Carefully curated selectio. Much nicer shopping experience than at the local chain groceries.

This is a high priced small market that I occasionally patronize. It is good for its eclectic selection and butcher counter. I expect higher prices here, but the produce prices really are insane, and the quality is average. Also, the self-serve section is fairly low quality, given the tone of the rest of the store. I come here when I want convenience- easy parking lot, good meat & fish. By and large, I've experienced good customer service here.

This is a quite lovely grocery store, but, Oh, my goodness, so much more expensive --for the same quality-- as others. For example, a half galleon of quality milk at other stores is $6; here is is $9. Their produce is just ordinary quality. They have a butcher so one can get specifically what one wants. They have a wine section. They have a, I guess I would call it a treat section, with cookies, etc. all done up fashionably. The customer service is so-so. The qualify of the food just isn't 30 percent higher than other grocery stores, but their prices are.

Used to shop there a couple of times a week, especially loved the salad bar, but with prices going higher and some items no longer being available, it was easier and more economical to go elsewhere. Also, the feel of the place changed over the past few years - not quite as warm, more like people were having a lot more bad days maybe?

Busy, small, a bit expensive. But it's a fantastic staple for the neighborhood. Local business so you can't blame them too kuch for their prices. The food/produce is of great quality with some unique offerings.

This isn't really a budget friendly store, but it does carry some cute local pastries. The produce, jam, and bread was definitely higher than you'd get at a discount store but it's a small town grocery store feel and it's convenient if you're already in the area and need something. I was kind of surprised they had cat litter actually, and gourmet mushrooms.

What an incredible combination of produce, prepackaged foods, salsas, meats and fish with a great local feel you don't get at the safeways/luckys out there. You could legitimately cook every cuisine from every part of the world here and still have leftovers to cook cuisines from other worlds. Aliens would most certainly appreciate the selection they have here.

You've put up a fence around your liquor department, but why can't you install a buzzer or light to call staff to help paying customers? You say that someone is supposed to be there to help, but that is almost NEVER the case. Staff were there more often before fence went up (and so were legitimate customers.) I have been shopping here for years, so I hope you see the light (or the buzzer.)
