Joe is amazing. His skill with 911’s is unrivaled. He has brought back to life my 69T and worked on my 996 over the years. I recommend him to everyone!

Porboys is a wonderful shop with great customer service! Joe was helpful, friendly, and handled my PPI with the dealership without so much as a care in the world, and he described all the problems with the car with me over the phone as well via email with no hesitation. Come to Porboys here and talk to Joe. He's a great guy, this is a great shop. You want quality uncompromising work, come here.

Joe helped me do a resto mod on my long hood 911, and his help was greatly appreciated. Joe helped with the project management and overhauled much of the mechanical parts. He was honest and a gentleman. Recommend Porboys fully!

If you need an Ace mechanic to tackle a tough job, Joe Zeiph at Porboys is your guy! I recently bought a 2000 Porsche Boxster S that had a 5.95 degree camshaft deviation which needed immediate attention. I called several Bay Area independent Porsche mechanics, but none had the in house expertise or time to take on the such a big job. I called a couple of the local Porsche dealers too, but they told me that what I really needed was a skilled mechanic who has done the job a couple hundred times! After searching the Porsche forums I stumbled onto Porboys, which was highly recommended by several members. I called Joe and he agreed to take a look at the car and to inspect the engine which had 105,000 miles. After consulting with Joe we decided to replace the IMS bearing, the Rear Main Seal, the engine and transmission mounts, the clutch and the chains / chain tensioner pads. When Joe was going through the engine he found a cracked cylinder head which was sent out to be repaired. No matter how big or small your job is Joe will get it done right at a fair price. For Bay Area Porsche owners he is a great mechanic who has forgotten more about Porsches than most of us fanboys will ever know! Highly recommend!

This is the only shop we've tried that was able to get my wife's 2005 Mini Cooper running like new. We'd thought we'd found an auto shop for life, however, twice they have failed to open their shop on time to intake our car. The first time, my wife had to call and they answered the phone and said they were on the way. Fair enough, they showed up a bit late and did a fabulous job on our Mini. Today, however, my wife showed up at 9 AM as arranged, and the shop was closed. She called several times and no answer. So she left because she has her own business to open and run and is on a very tight schedule. So now we are taking our chances with a different shop. If you can accept missed appointments and sloppy front-office skills, I would still recommend this shop because technically they know their stuff. However, if you are on a tight schedule, I advise you to avoid this shop. Too bad, because I have an old Benz I wanted them to service because I've heard great things about their Benz expertise.

If I had zero stars to give to this company that's what I would give them. Some time ago we took my wife's Volkswagen Tuareg to be repaired at Porboys. There was a problem with the drive shaft. They took over a week to fix it, the owner complained that he "broke" his tools on my car and had to buy new tools, and he went over the estimate he gave me by $250. With all that, I was happy to get my car back and chose never to go back to Porboys again. Well the knocking and vibrations came back so I took the car to Volkswagen. They sent me a video of my drive shaft broken again and the AFTER MARKET (cheap!) parts that Porboys had installed and charged me top dollar for ($1850)! So now I have to pay over $2000 to repair something that should have been repaired correctly the first time. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN! I will not even tell my worst enemy to go to Porboys for a repair!! If you want repair work done go anywhere but this place. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

I went to have my car repaired at Porboys several months ago. When I arrived, I commented on the "45" (Donald Trump) photo hanging up in the reception area. The staff seemed to be equally annoyed, but said that owner refused to take the sign down. I then asked them to look at my wife's car which had a check engine light on. As we walked back, I noticed that the garage seemed to be unclean and the tools were disorganized. In my experience, a clean shop with organized tools is a good way to find a professional shop.
