Carts are a problem, usually. Not a big deal. It happens. But these locked cages for laundry detergent are ridiculous. I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up. Had to track down an employee. Finally a different dude shows up. And he gives me attitude about he's the only guy working the floor. I don't blame this guy, but the store management is off their rocker. If it takes 15 minutes to get into one of your several pointless cages from corporate, hire another person to help. Maybe they can help with carts too...

The world would be a better place if Safeway didn't exist and I mean this w every fiber of my being

This Safeway is absolutely the worst place to shop. First of all they have blocked off most entrances and exits making it impossible to even get in the store. Secondly you can never find a cart. Thirdly the lines are so long. I will avoid this store at any cost.

Not sure, this location has changed a lot over the last several years. The "receipt scan," to exit self checkout is a bit much. My position is this, if you have to do all of that, then just move your store to a "better," location.....

This is my local Safeway and the only reason I go back is because of the pharmacy, which is usually quick and friendly.First of all, the store makes you feel like a criminal just by walking in. You need to go through all of these gates and bars just to get in. Then after that, you get the privilege of waiting in a line that wraps around the entire store at 5pm on a Monday for the one cashier or the self checkout with 2 or 3 registers out of order. After all of that you get home with your perscription and you find that the box of ice cream bars you bought were all melted inside of the wrappers. Makes you think about the quality of the rest of the frozen goods.

As a loyal customer of Safeway for many years, I can confidently say that this supermarket chain consistently delivers a top-notch shopping experience. Whether I need to restock my pantry or shop for fresh produce, Safeway has become my go-to destination for all my grocery needs. The first thing that stands out about Safeway is its convenient locations. I appreciate having a store nearby, making it easy to pop in for last-minute items or to do a full weekly grocery run. The stores are clean, well-organized, and the layout is designed for efficient shopping, which saves me time during busy days. One of the reasons I keep coming back to Safeway is their commitment to affordability and coupons. The just for U® program, in particular, offers personalized deals and discounts based on my shopping habits, making it a fantastic money-saving tool.

This place couldn't give a damn. One checkout line, self check out closed, at least 20 people in line. I guess it's all about the money and they don't want to pay for more employees at check out. Well I learned my lesson about this place.

At Safeway at 6:10am at the deli. The lady see me standing there for 5 minutes and don't say anything. There's no sign that says what time they open. So after 5 minutes I finally asked and she says they open at 7. Was I wrong to ask why she didn't say anything. And then I have to deal with a sarcastic cashier. I could of said something but it would not have been nice

This Safeway is the literal worst! The only reason we went to this one instead of the one closest to us is because this one has more variety. The lines are a complete nightmare! They're not like a normal store where you just get in line at whatever register is open. They want you all in one line. But do they indicate this? No, not at all. Do they have someone directing the lines? Nope. I specifically asked an employee whether or not there's one line or multiple, and she said she didn't know and then said that there are multiple lines. Then a checker said there's one line. These people need to get it together and make sure the entire staff knows this. There is no excuse for this! If they want one single line, they need to specify that and have someone directing customers! There are never any shopping carts. Either there are not enough, or someone is not doing their job collecting the carts and putting them where they go. So you have to go on a scavenger hunt throughout the parking lot to find them, or stalk someone to their car and wait till they're done unloading the one they were using. The bagger did not evenly distribute the weight of our items between the bags. This is a huge problem because, had I not been there, there would have been absolutely no way my 80 year old mother could have gotten the groceries into her car, let alone into her house. All the employees look like they don't want to be there. Not just don't want to be there, but hate their jobs with a passion.

Not the best Safeway I've been to. Parking is usually hard to find unless you park on the roof. There's rarely a shopping cart and when you do find one, it takes a long time for the elevator to come. This store is understaffed. There are very few registers open and there are long lines that goes down the aisle.

I wish there were an option for zero stars. This Safeway has to be the most ill managed grocery store in the United States. It's almost like they hate the fact that they have customers. There's never any carts. Ever. They no longer even have Baskets. There's literally nothing to put your groceries into while you are shopping. And this is been the case for more than a year. It's not like it only happens once in a while. Let's not even talk about the lines. The lines that go achingly all the way down the aisles on almost every evening, even just a plain old Tuesday night. The employee morale is horrendous. If I were in management I would fear a revolution. I will shop anywhere but here. Clearly management is just soaking their customers until they go bankrupt because people would prefer a home delivery over this b********

I hate to give it one star because it does have a bigger selection than smaller stores but the place has been getting worse and worse each time I return. Last time I went was dreadful but I wanted better selection for Christmas dinner in one spot to avoid shopping in multiple stores and decided to bite the bullet at Safeway. I've been going off and on for 8 years but I'm not going to go back again, no matter what. Today there were no available carts inside the store which is normal for a holiday season but there weren't any in the entire parking lot either, none anywhere. I walked the entire lot looking and so did several other exasperated people. When I asked an employee why there were none I was told to ask customer service. Customers were walking through the store carrying items in their hands. Did they all get stolen, baskets too? How could they have zero anywhere? This store is always terribly understaffed and the lines are always 30 minutes wait to check out. The lines block the ability to shop in the aisles making the whole experience very anxious and uncomfortable. The last few times I have purchased beef there it was subpar and not fresh. Staff there is very rude at the registers and it's not uncommon for items to be thrown as they check it through. Staff in the aisles never know where I can find anything. I'd really rather shop anywhere else now and it's too bad because other Safeway stores like Alameda are very pleasant but too far, therefore my business is going to other nearby stores instead. I predict this store is going to close and cut their losses which would explain the apathetic approach to these issues that don't seem to get resolved. I'm done.

Apathetic employees and poor customer service. A customer cut several customers in line and lashed out and yelled when one of the customers said something. The cashier witnessed the incident and didn't do anything.
