I’m attaching a picture of the Pedialyte I just bought from the CVS next door. Why? Because I paged the Safeway team over 10 times to unlock the case that contained the same product and no one came. All the while multiple Safeway employees walked past saying “someone will unlock it for you soon”. I gave up, put the rest of my products back on their shelves, and walked 1 minute to CVS next door where the product was out in the open.
And this isn’t the first time I’ve had this problem at this Safeway store. They lock several products up but staff never actually comes by to unlock it. It’s a waste of customers’ time, all the while trying to buy basic health, hygiene, and baby products. Enough is enough.
I get that retail shrink is a problem. But this isn’t the solution if you can’t facilitate customers still being able to buy the products.

Safeway is not always the least expensive, but it is always clean, stocked, and selling quality food. Sometimes you pay more for quality, Safeway is very much in that vein.

I can’t believe the manager locked my cart while walking out the store like she expected me to steal because I’m a black man. She and everyone else needs to be informed that I make way more money in a month than you grocery store workers make all year. I hate being embarrassed like that in front of all those white people like that. This act really disgusts me on the highest level!!!!

Expensive, Expensive, Expensive. Their selections are limited for this smaller store and the staff is minimal. The store is clean and doesn't smell, but it's expensive.

The security guard who is present in the evening is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have had akward encounters with him on more than one occasion. This evening when I walked in at 11:40, he said “you have four minutes, so you need to hurry up”. I spend a couple hundred dollars each week at this this. But his presence alone, makes me never want to come again.

I don't usually post reviews, let alone 1 star reviews but I am sharing my experience. It may be something that someone else has experienced or it may be something that is unique to just me, whatever the case may be, I am only speaking for myself. I came in originally for produce, but then I was asked to see what the sandwich selection looked like and so I headed over to the deli, and over here is where the people were nice but I needed service and they couldn't be bothered and there were plenty of people who were seemingly available to help so I just found it frustrating but maybe it wasn't their department or something like that or maybe they were stuff I don't know the whole situation, so I moved on. I was walking down the wine aisle, which I had no business in, other than I was passing through;and a gentleman asked me if I knew anything about the wine which I don't particularly know much about but he couldn't find anybody to help him and so I had to help him even though I'm not an employee and no employees that actually do work there could be bothered to so I'm trying to help him even though I'm not an employee and I'm not knowledgeable too much about that but I did my best. And then, for some reason, probably because I do have a large purse and I'm indecisive, but the security guard who I have choice words for decides that I must be stealing so he follows me like a hawk and I leave without buying anything because I'm pretty irritated at this point, and I can see And I catch onto what he's doing and I admit I decide to mess with him because honestly he's being a jerk and honestly I can be a jerk too when I decide to play games with people, but I decide I have some choice words for him if I ever go back to that Safeway again, but let's remember I need to be a little more mature at times but I didn't take anything. I did your job for you people and next time please assist your customers instead of looking miserable and board and taking pictures of peoples license plates into that security guard working around noon or one. When I was leaving, he could've easily asked me to go through my bag and then like "Let me search your bag ma'am"- but you didn't say that so good job being so "big and bad" zero stars experience. Hire competent people!

Incorrect prices through the store, items ring up several dollars higher than posted price and often without any of Safeway discount applied despite indicating a sale. I live nearby and after a year of this have stopped going here. After getting over charged I had to spend 10 minutes re-crediting cards re ringing and charging. It’s a scam with a Safeway sign.

This is the worst Safeway in the area. There is a limited selection of the most basic things and no bakery. It's small and feels dirty. You can't walk in without being accosted in the parking lot to 'sign this' or 'buy that'. Oh and the parking lot is on a hill so that's fun when you are pushing a cart of food. The employees are friendly enough, it's not their fault the store is a disaster.

This Safeway has really nice, pleasant, friendly staff. I have been using the butcher counter lately and I am completely impressed by the butchers, especially Donnell. He is unique in that he is genuinely interested in responding to questions about specific cuts and the best way to prepare them. He is unfailingly patient with sometimes picky and rude customers. If I need to buy meat or seafood,I look for the butchers because I can buy the quantity I need and I feel confident of the quality. Although this small store has some issues which are beyond their control, the staff has been friendly and helpful.
