Emily and her staff have helped our family through both high school homework help, organizational skills, and college SAT prep in uniquely professional and thorough ways. The process for understanding who your child is, who your family is, what is at the core of the need, and adjusting and checking in along the way are beyond compare. I am an educator, and worked with many tutors and tutoring services over many years, and these folks, with Emily at the mast, really find a unique and effective balance. They have a no nonsense approach, are goal oriented, target with professional skills, and have a human approach. They know how to meet families and kids where they are, wont shy from giving advice, and they really know the landscape of all the different schools in the area, even down to the curriculum expectations; they know students they serve well. This experience of local schools alone is a huge experiential leg up. I am an elementary educator, but they helped me with my two very different high school kids journeys. I am VERY confident they can do it all, K-12! This place is the BEST!

Study Smarter was terrific in helping our daughter (and her parents!) through the college application process. Everyone we worked with -- Ariel, Joel, Mel -- was professional, thoughtful, and connected well with our daughter. They built trust with our teenager, coached her throughout the process (school selection, test prep and essay writing), listened to her and evolved their recommendations as they got to know her. The bottom line: Reduced stress in the process and (we firmly believe) better results in admissions and financial aid offers than our daughter would have achieved without their help.

Study Smarter is my trusted source for college tutoring. Emily and Dre and the team made a personal plan for my son and helped him achieve a score that met his goals for being able to share with colleges. They've branched out and are now helping with a variety of academic support. This is my third child having a great experience with Study Smarter - highest recommendation.

Study Smarter is amazing! Joel and his team of highly skilled tutors and academic support specialists provided the hands-on, intensive support to my son that he needed to succeed. We have used Study Smarter for middle school academic support, and for college prep work around essay preparation, application assistance, and specific class tutoring. Not only did staff here ensure that my son nailed the ACT, he got accepted to multiple colleges. Staff also taught him the value of asking for help when he needed it most - boosting his confidence, giving him the skills he needs to thrive as a young adult, and saving the parent-child relationship in the process. I have and will continue to refer Study Smarter to friends and colleagues who need academic support for their children. My son actually looked forward to his sessions with Study Smarter, and now knows that seeking out help and learning from it is a gift.

I was recommended to use Study Smarter from an administrator at my son's private school. This tutoring service far exceeded 5 stars. My son was matched up with Sami, who was incredible. Sami was smart, insightful, caring and took the time to get to know my son. He was able to mix humor with the study sessions and my son never dreaded his sessions. My son scored a 34! He took the ACT once. The administrators at Study Smarter are also beyond incredible. They worked as an amazing team with Sami. No question was ever too small or too big-- Phone calls and emails were returned immediately if they were on another line. Without their advice, my son wouldn't have successfully found a testing site that didn't cancel. Most importantly, this is a company that cares about the success of their students and ALWAYS puts what is in their students best interests before their bottom line. 2020 was a very tricky time and the whole team was professional, caring, honest and focused on my son's success. I will be using them again for my other child.
