This venue was perfect for what we wanted! We wanted a small wedding of 50 guests and I was looking for a place with some scenery and not just a boring hall that needed a lot to look beautiful. We were on a small budget so we also needed something at a reasonable price. This place hit all that and more. All of our guests loved the venue and it helped that it was a beautiful sunny day. The garden area made for a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and great for photos. The lake was beautiful with all the ducks swimming around. I loved everything about this venue and definitely recommend it if you are having a small wedding.

This beach house includes an intimate area, which is perfect for small weddings or gatherings. The space is filled with natural light and features two different rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. There are a few steps to get into the beach house, which makes it difficult to access in a wheel chair.

We rented it for our wedding. We immediately loved the stone patio and garden area as well as the high ceilings of the building itself. It's also reasonably priced. There's a lot of paperwork to complete as well as insurance to get, but it's worth it. Our wedding was on a hot day, so, fortunately, the building has A/C. It's also easy to get to by car and only a 5-minute car ride from Rockridge BART.

A lovely setting for any event, in our case it was a memorial and this space provided a very sweet atmosphere for our needs.

We held my daughter's wedding at Temescal Beach House last Saturday and we could not be happier with the location. The grounds are glorious, lush with vegetation and flowers. The weather is almost always great, as it was for us, and we were able to get great photos in natural light both indoors and outside. Throughout the event, people asked my how I found this place because they had never seen it before and it's just exquisite, truly a hidden gem. I couldn't have been more proud to host my daughter's wedding there. The patio offers wonderful views and ample room to seat a much larger group than we had (about 45). We served appetizers and a bar on the patio (The Arlington Catering was fabulous!), which was lovely in the late afternoon/evening. We also had the guest table with guest book on the patio so people could sign without having a back-up inside. The ceremony began at 4:30 and we ushered folks in for dinner about 6:00. Moving from the patio to the Beach House, there was a beautiful view of the lake and the sun setting. We used the main room for 5 guest tables of +/- 8, plus a cake table and DJ set-up. The smaller room was used for the buffet, as well as for a table to put the bouquets while not in use, with boxes hidden underneath the table for collection afterwards. After dinner and toasts, we moved the main table to create a larger dance floor, which worked out great. We had a dancing crowd and could get 6-25 people at a time dancing. The bridal changing room is small, but my daughter and her four attendants did fine, even with a photographer in there with them. The kitchen is also small, but our caterer said it was just fine. The tables and chairs are there on site. If you want a bridal arch, you will have to bring your own. Aside from not being able to have the waterfall (due to broken motor), everything was just perfect! In the end, the guests didn't know there was supposed to be a waterfall so it was not missed, except for photos, where the waterfall would have added a lot. The parking was adequate for our group. There are 2 disabled spaced and 15 additional spaces and not all were used. Other parking is available a few minutes away, but we didn't need it.

Nice trail with bathrooms and a beach. Also has bbq spots for grilling. Seems like you have to reserve the good locations.

Lovely little event venue overlooking Lake Temescal! The patio is surrounded by plants, and the waterfall can be heard nearby. Very picturesque!

Nice venue but it's divided into two rooms. I was at a Celebration of Life Memorial and if you were in the back room you can't see the video presentation. They need to remove the doorway that separates the two rooms , if it's not a structural support or add a monitor so people in the back room can see the video. During our prensation there was no microphone not sure if you had to bring your own or it is provided by the venue.

We loved Temescal Beach House for our wedding in March. It is a very intimate and beautiful venue with lots of gorgeous outdoor backdrops (stone patio, garden wall, exposed brick, nearby lake, and waterfalls if they are turned on). We decided to go with minimal decorations and leverage the natural scenery. The place can accommodate up to 80 (though it might be tight), and was perfect for our small 36-person wedding. My husband and I love parks, nature, and water, so this was right up our alley. It is also very affordable since it's part of East Bay Regional Parks! The venue had a list of approved caterers to choose from, tables and chairs provided, restrooms, and small prep kitchen (though this is too small for caterers to actually cook in). We appreciated the gorgeous outdoor patio, which we used for our ceremony, and indoor reception hall with lovely stone fireplace. This gave us a built-in contingency plan for rain without having to rent a tent! There's plenty of parking for guests as well. It is a public park so there will be park-goers walking the nearby trails, but our caterer (Culinary Excellence) did a great job of ensuring privacy in the venue space for our event. Making reservations, payments, and getting insurance with EBRP was quite easy. We enjoyed this venue so much and would even go back to the park to do the trail around Lake Temescal. If you like simplicity and nature, I recommend considering Temescal Beach House for any special event!

Cannot recommend high enough. Not only was the former bathhouse beautiful and fun inside, the park/water view was downright mesmerizing!
