About The New Parish
The New Parish is a funky spot and a fun venue for live music, known for having the best DJs, music, and events. The vibe is on point, especially when the music is great. It offers a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. The upstairs bar is great and there is a lot of space, with a small open area to chill while still enjoying the show. A food window with some seating is available outside, and the food can be incredible. The venue is absolutely standing room only for many shows, with not a chair in sight. It can become very hot and (over) packed inside, so dressing light is advised. The sound is often problematic and the place itself has lost some luster since its heyday. Smoking of many things, including a lot of weed, happens on the patio and sometimes inside the venue, which some find unbearable. The chairs at the outdoor tables have holes directly in the middle of the seats, making them not functional. While security is typically nice and polite, service experiences at will call can sometimes be extremely rude and unprofessional.
