There are approximately 2 million nail salons near Lake Merritt on Lakeshore and Grand and this is the most charming and reliable. Great location near everything but quiet. I get acrylics here and absolutely love it each time. Best prices too!

The prices are very fair and they always do a good job on my toe nails but my finger nails are a hit or a miss. Some of the staff are extremely talented but others have no idea what they are doing at all. I understand if you need to learn but there should be a discount or something. The last time I went I just asked for French tips and they were terrible. Also I the other frustrating thing is that I always make an appointment before I go and confirm but when I get there they never have a spot for me and I always end up waiting at least 20 minutes.

They do nice work
Can get a little snappy / annoyed with minor things
I made a mistake for manicure / pedicure
Was told should mention I want nails long from beginning
Other worker seemed annoyed when asked for colors and slammed color tray in front of me which was off putting
Minor cut it inside Nail , but tech apologized .
I felt a bit uncomfortable with audible sighs eye rolling etc . Considering I did pay and tip generously but that’s nothing I’m not use to in nyc.
Advice would be to know exactly what you want prior and be extremely specific with wording on what you want .
The ladies do nice work but we’re a bit flustered and could work on minor customer service things but overall it’s worth trying.

This is my third nail bar experience in the US, and was the best.
The process that was done on my nails was professional and complete.
The nice lady could professionally explain my nail condition.

For me nails are fashion and trends are vital. This is what they lack. The color selection hasn't been upgraded and the designs are not good. The pedicurist is mediocre. I really did want to like this place, it's clean. But this is not my place so I move on. Rate is based on cleanliness and the relaxing environment.

So as a business you should have provided a time to come back or offer me to make an appointment. I know this because I myself run a business. You guys shut me down with "we cannot take you" I've been to plenty of nail salons, if they can't take me they immediately try to take my information for an appointment or give me a time and day that they can see me. You absolutely have terrible customer service. Just because you respond to my comments doesn't make you less rude. lol.

If "You Get What You Pay For" was a place, it'd surely be Traci's Nails. I've been here a few times over the past few years and they have consistently provided subpar service. This is not a salon I would recommend you visit if you care about detail and customer service. No quality, whatsoever. The nail tech (named Hanna, I believe?!) rushes and appears flustered whenever I politely instruct her on how I'd like my nails shaped, especially when she files them unevenly and paints them leaving lumps. To say that they lack attention to detail would be a complete understatement. She also appeared agitated because she had to soak off the gel polish I came in with on my natural nails. Is that not in your job description and are you not getting paid? I mentioned everything I needed done prior to my visit so I'm not sure why it was a problem. I cant for the life of me understand why she was rushing my service when the lobby was empty. She had barely spoken a word the entire service, which is fine. However, when she finished polishing one of my hands she walked straight to the back room without saying a word and another woman came and finished the job. Even with much instruction, I still didn't like the way my nails turned out or the energy in this place. I won't be back. If I could give zero stars I would without a doubt. Business might be better for y'all if you were actually welcoming and paid attention to detail.
