Two relo-cubes ordered online and confirmed. Didn't show up on the Friday and I was driving across the country starting early Monday morning. I subsequently waited until 4 o'clock on Monday to start packing the two containers and had hotels booked each day straight through until Thursday night..... I'm now out of pocket for hotel rooms that were booked and missed. On the back end I had to keep calling in to get the cubes taken away. No problem taking my money off my credit card though. I would never use or recommend this company.

While the customer seems was very satisfying the delivery was not. I received my pod one week after loading. once I opened the doors I could tell that my items had shifted immensely. As I began to remove my items it was found that my chaise couch was broken, my 55" tv shattered and my tv stand demolished. the way we packed the small pod there is no way these damages would happen naturally. it was as if the company slammed the pod on the ground and kicked it down a hill like wtf???? I am no without a tv, half a couch and tv console. over $2000 worth of merchandise. I'm sick to my stomach. the company said well it's not our fault full out the claim form. smh I'm suing.

We used these folks after hearing how a friend of mines brother used them twice in recent years with good success. The online videos are very helpful. One thing to note: if you hire folks to help load your trailer make sure they load to the ceiling. I hired some folks that did not do this, even after I requested it, and I ended up having to rent a uhaul trailer to take up the slack. This was a great service and I would use them again.

Never thought I'd be leaving a review for a freight/moving company yet here we are. Initially, I was disappointed because U-Pack couldn't drop the ReloCube at my starting location. However, the quote was less than half of the quote I received from Pods and U-Pack was able to deliver it to the receiving address. I arrived at the Oakland freight facility to fill a ReloCube on a Friday morning. The employee who helped me had an unbelievably positive and welcoming attitude. Seriously, one of the nicest people I've ever met. Paperwork was filled out in minutes and the loading process was efficient and streamlined. I was able to park directly in front of the ReloCube and was good to go in 15 minutes. I received constant updates and the cube arrived at my destination three days later. I picked a delivery window soon after and received a phone call from the delivery driver 30 minutes before he arrived. I had gotten a City permit to have the cube parked on the street overnight. However, the driver actually helped me unload the cube into my garage and took it away 10 minutes later. I am in disbelief over how easy U-Pack made my moving process. Fantastic service, great price, nicest employees.

They eventually did show up with the delivery and was able to get it into a single parking space which was nice. Lots of delay on the Maryland service center side however.

This is a great example of a company that knows customer needs exactly and provides it. First, it is hard to estimate the space needed in advance. U-Pack gives you amazing flexibility and you pay only for the space you actually fill. This was a huge saving for me. Next, if you relocate long-distance, you need more time to prepare your old house and prepare for a long trip. U-pack gives you plenty of time. Also, plenty of time for loading/unloading, you are in no rush to pack the container properly. Couple pieces of advice. 9ft is high, your boxes on the bottom may get compressed. You may buy some studs and make some simple frame to make shelves. to protect boxes on the bottom. Second, buy some extra stripes. I used 10 and it was not enough to secure everything properly. One more -- the temperature on the top is getting hot, just consider that. Overall, everything arrived on time and undamaged (it was properly packed/secured though, took 3 days), door-to door. A+ service.

I paid for two relocubes to be shipped from Washington, DC to Oakland, and paid extra for them to be delivered directly to my apartment complex. However, the U-Pack service center waited to call me at 5:45am on the day of delivery and told me that they could NOT deliver my cubes because the street was too narrow, even though U-Pack had known the delivery address for over a month when I made the reservation agreement. So, I had to frantically rent a U-Haul at the last minute and pick up my items directly from the service center. The worst part is that the very next day, I saw another resident of my apt complex have a relocube delivered to my SAME apt complex; and a day later, an entire U-Pack freight trailer was delivered my apt complex as well (you can see the pictures attached). So, when U-Pack told me that they couldn't deliver my relocubes to my apt complex, it was a complete lie. Therefore, due to all this, and because U-pack caused me so much unnecessary stress and frustration, I can't recommend this moving company.

We needed to move furniture from San Francisco to Kansas. And we weren't sure what size we would need so we started with a Relocube. When we were ready to round up the furniture to be shipped, we found out that we needed more space. U-Pack's flexibility allowed us to upgrade into a trailer that we didn't have to fully pack. We basically packed as much as we can into that trailer and we only got charged for the size that we took. In the end, we actually didn't pay much more than we started with. Before choosing U-Pack, we also got quotes from PODS, RatPack and a few moving companies. They all quoted us about $6000 from SF to KS. Our bill from U-Pack only totaled ~$3000. Half of their competitors. But it also meant that I had to do my own due diligence. I had to ask a lot of question in regards to how the pod was going to be dropped in a busy residential street in San Francisco. Meaning, I had to call SF MTA to get a permit (5 days before), I had to go to call ABF to make sure they got it. I also called dispatch on the day of drop off to find out when they plan to arrive. I also had to setup the ramp on my own. Get my own lock for the inside barrier and outside door for my own security. Pick up from SF and dropoff to KS was the same. I get a text to schedule time to pickup and dropoff and then called ABF if I needed more information. They have good value, but you also got to do some work.To us, the flexibility and value of U-Pack made it be a good choice.

They were considerably less than a moving company, all of my stuff arrived on time. They were always in touch with me and none of my stuff was lost in the move because it was all locked in their pod. That is not the same as a moving company and I know a lot of horror stories supporting that. I would highly recommend them and would use them again!

Moved cross-country with them back in 2021, and it was a great experience. They were on time and professional, and I didn't have any issues at all, unlike when I scheduled a relatively local move with U-haul boxes. Recently, I scheduled another move but changed plans, and I forgot to cancel until a week before the move date. Though you have to call to cancel, it's all automated and very quick, and I'm very grateful that there was no fee. If I realized a day later, the fee would have been a fairly reasonable $50.

I followed their instructions re getting a padlock (actually got the one they suggested) to ship things from NC to Missouri. Including storage it cost over $1800.When I received the Relocube in Missouri, however, the padlock was missing. Once I unpacked everything I realized it wasn't just a mistake as someone had taken the only really things of value in there: my electronics.I contacted U-Pack who put me through to their claims department ABF. I had genuinely assumed they were a proper company that wasn't going to brazenly scam people. But when I filed the claim and they said: we have no evidence anything was wrong with your shipment but as "a gesture of goodwill" we are offering you $25 (for over $300 worth of equipment). When I asked what I could have done, they just waffled. Essentially, they will never find any "evidence" they did anything wrong after their "investigation." When I asked what this so-called "investigation" entailed: they just look to see if their staff report any problems. Yeah, so staff that steal things might report their own crime?I spoke to their manager and got the same nonsense about how they have no evidence and I should have looked at the contract. After speaking to them for a long time I realize that essentially the only thing I could have done was NOT use them...there is ZERO protection for things getting stolen as (1) they won't accept that it was stolen and (2) whatever they end up offering out of "goodwill" will be based it on the purported weight of the items! But expensive things can be light and cheap things can be heavy!I essentially paid $1800 to get $300+ worth of things getting stolen and a claims department that pretends paying $50 (their final offer) as a "gesture of goodwill."They are a scam...don't use them. Or definitely DO NOT put anything of value in there as you will get no real compensation for your items.

Honestly we were terrified of moving with all of the issues with the moving industry right now. Upack was honestly the best/easiest part of our move. Scheduling pick ups and drop offs was super easy, all tracked online and they were very prompt. They even held our belongings at the destination until we got down there and dropped them off next day and picked it up next day. As advertised, would definitely use them again.
